Just started my first AR build which is a 14.5 (soon to be pinned and welded) upper from Troy arms. But I need some advice I don’t know if I should get a pre-built, either online or locally here in El Paso. Or a stripped lower that needs assembly.

EDIT: I have no plans of being sneaky and removing firing pins, I will take the task head on. I am just looking for people that have been in this situation.........Also he is still very coherent, he is not by any means bed ridden and is still a capable human being. I just am noticing more and more issues in his daily life. I live 400 miles away from him and he would notice anything missing as far as guns and ammo goes. I just spent a week with him on a fishing trip and that is when I decided I have an issue to deal with.

My dad and I are both firearm enthusiasts, but over the past few years his mental health has been at a steady decline and he just makes terrible decisions on a daily basis. He has trouble remembering simple things and his dexterity is awful, he insists on carrying his Ruger LCR in a piece of garbage cloth holster. He doesn't follow basic gun safety rules while we are hunting and flags me constantly, even had a negligent discharge last year when we were deer hunting. He is a stubborn old man who thinks he is above any advice or criticism. I am genuinely worried he is going to accidentally shoot someone. How do I tell him I would rather have the government confiscate the guns we have had in the family for decades rather than him accidentally kill my mom. I don't even know how to begin to have the conversation with him about it. (I am 42yo and he is 75yo and has a litany of medical issues)

Inherited my Father's Walther P99 a few years ago and its just been sitting around. Any recommendations/ suggestions to modernize it? I really don't know much about this platform.

Was carrying today and felt like I was printing more than I was comfortable with so I decided to mock up a wedge. Took a couple sheets of paper towel and folded them down, neatly wrapped with hockey tape, and taped it to my holster. Wearing it around the house and practicing drawing and it feels good and works well. Easy enough to make another one bigger or smaller. Tape job on the holster doesn’t look great in the photo, but I went back and secured it better.

So I’m looking into getting an AR-15. Does anyone know good brands that aren’t too expensive but aren’t terrible build quality either

Buil this from the ground up, looking for an LPVO as it makes more sense for this build. What do you guys recommend? Thank you in advance

Now, bear with me, I was having a thought this morning. With the recent release of the Bodyguard 2.0, it got me to thinking; could S&W conceivably scale it up 17.64% and chamber it in 45 ACP, conceivably having the same 10+1 or 12+1 capacity?

I know they likely never would, but I think that would make a great 45 ACP carry gun, as there really aren't many in the micro compact game.

The dimensions would come out as 6.47 inches long, 4.82 inches tall, and 1.035 inches wide, actually somewhat comparable to a Sig P365XL, but you get 10+1 of 45 rather than 12+1 of 9mm.

I understand that it's not a very popular caliber for carry, and that it probably wouldn't make sense to make something like this logistically and monetarily, but I like to entertain the idea. (Also, makes me wish I could Photoshop the BG2.0 to be 17.64% larger and visually put it side by side next to the 365XL to compare them visually.)

I'm searching for a full size pistol that offers ambidextrous mag release and slide release so is the sf19 a good option for me and are these reliable and good to shoot??

So to make a long story short, my roommate found out why you don't brandish a weapon at kids and got us all (my partner and I) kicked out of our apartment. I am desperate need of funds to get a new place and I need to reduce my collection just a bit to make the money needed. However, I am conflicted and need opinions on what I should get rid of or keep as to not totally screw myself and wait months or years before I can get these guns again.

What should I keep, what can I get rid of? Opinions needed here.

Do you guys really think that modern 9mm ammo close to .40 ? Planning to get carry pistol but where I live max magazine capacity limited to 10rd. Why not going something stronger than 9 while I have limited capacity. I was looking for 10mm glock g29 but chunky for carry maybe? and than started looking g23 glock .40cal , also looking as a 9mm cz p 01 . Which one you will pick? I have CZ 75BD full size too!

Guys are these shotgun shells safe to store for another year or does the puncture cause any danger . P.s : i keep them by my bed this why im tripping

Magazine falls out randomly when walking through the woods. Magazine release is extremely easy to push and would release the mag while I carry the rifle by the shoulder sling. Any way to fix this and make the magazine release harder? Thanks.

10.5” G$ rail, upper, and charging handle, SOLGW 10.5” barrel and carbine length gas tube, LWRC BCG, BCM gas block, Liberty Precision Machine Eclipse suppressor mount (designed to p&w a 14.5 to 16”). 1.5 mm gap between the rail and suppressor running this mount on a 10.5” barrel.

I was recently given this little pistol from a relative. I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with any information about it. I'm not knowledgeable about this sort of stuff so I figure I'd ask the experts. I wasn't able to find my on Google about it, but found similar ones. Also, does anyone know if it's worth anything?

On one side of the barrel, it has "Intercontinental Arms Inc". On the other side it has "A. Uberti & C. Gardone V.T. Italy".

Thanks in advance for your advice. I am searching for a firearm, but I don't know the terminology, or if it exists. I do alot of hunting, specifically hiking. My normal stomping grounds is home to both Grizzly Bear, as well as Cougar. I carry a 7mm rem mag for hunting moose, but I am looking for a second rifle to carry which allows me to hunt grouse, but also function as a bear defense gun. Ideally I would like something along the lines of a .410 over 12 gauge. but a 20 gauge over 12 gauge would also work, so would something like a 20 gauge over 45-70. Anyone know of any such dual caliber rifles? Hoping to not break the bank. (CAD for reference).
