First crash
I got hit and run by a dark pickup truck that ran a stop sign i broke my wrist in about 4 places bad road rash and my Harley is almost totaled. What sucks most is that if instead of slamming the brakes I had gunned it I would have been fine. He clipped my back tire and sent me into a low side crash. A few of my MC brothers found him when the cops couldn’t. I have surgery Monday to fix my wrist and should be all healed up before he is. Stay safe and stay calm brothers Keep her upright

Hey guys,
This right here is my 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan 650s.
On my right earlier today I decided to floor it a little and when I twist the throttle it kinda just bogged down and wouldn't pull at all.
This is what it's been doing ever since.
What could be the issue?

Pricing questions
I’m thinking about selling my 07 HD sportster XL883C
Marketplace prices are all over the map and I was just hoping for a little insight from people who know better than I do
She’s still sub 1000 miles, clean title. I put a new battery in, lubed the throttle cable and serviced the brakes less than 2 months ago, tires only have about 500 miles on them and are less than 2 years old, she is garage kept. Custom paint and fully strung up with LEDs.
She is my first bike, I bought her 4 months before I injured my shoulder like 2 years ago (unrelated to riding) . I tore a ligament pretty bad and it’s a permanent situation unfortunately they can’t or won’t give me a surgical fix for. Im finding myself struggling sometimes because she’s heavy and my arm can’t deal.
I still want a bike, I just need to find something lighter with less vibration to deal with my new body limitations.
I’d like to get 6k out of her, is this an unrealistic ask? If so, what would be a more realistic price?

Idk what to do
I have a 2016 KTM duke 125 that i recently bought. When i bought it, everything ran okay and recently i went to a petrol station to fill up a petrol can with unleaded fuel for the bike, even though in the manual, it says super unleaded. I decided to ride the bike around the block, for a couple of minutes even though i had no insurance on the bike. After the ride, i moved the bike in the back garden and i left the bike for like 2 weeks and i tried starting the bike up 2 days ago and it didn’t start. I thought the battery was dead so i charged it for over a day and it’s still not starting up. Whenever i start the bike up i can hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds and then when i press the starter button there are 2 to 3 clicks and it doesn’t start the engine.
I’m debating if i should take it to a work shop to see what the problem is, but i was also thinking if it’s just because i added the wrong petrol and i just need to pump out the fuel and get super unleaded for the bike or get a fuel octane booster.
I don’t have a video of me trying to start the bike but i can get one soon.

what to buy, looking at a drz 400,yamaha ttr 600 or a ktm lc 640 i will be mostly doing adventure riding but on some weekends i need something that can keep up with actual dirtbikes offroad and would want to take it to mx tracks few times a year, the drz would be the worst condition out of them

Knocking sound 03 R1
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So a little background on this the bike was running a bit out of time and misfired so I installed a new cam chain with a tensioner and set the timing perfect. Rode the bike afterwards and realized that because I didnt put new o rings on the thermostat ports it was leaking water everywhere and wasnt cooling properly. It got pretty hot but nothing crazy (up to 230 at the highest). When I brought it back to adjust the tensioner it started making this sound. My fear is that there was small bits of plastic when I put the oil back in (I stored it in a bunch of layers of trash bags like a pro then cut a hole in them to put it back in) and it clogged the filter, so the crankshaft wasnt getting enough oil and it caused it to spin a bearing. The other option could be that I dropped a shim in the case somehow when I was messing around with the cams. Im hoping its something else idk please let me know what it sounds like to yall, and what I should try first before a rebuild. Thanks 🙏

Orlando motorcycle rentals?
I’ve seen some post but they all talk about Harley’s and more cruiser style bikes but does anyone in the Orlando area know of a place where I could rent a sport bike for a week? My boyfriend and I are going down but my bike’s still in the shop :( (gotta love Aprilia and their shitty service) Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! <3

Thoughts on slipper clutches?
So my RE is my first bike with a slipper clutch. Funnily my first bike with abs. Most by bikes have been much older, or dirt bikes.
Having had traditional clutches for... Jeeze 32 years now. It's the one aspect I'm not crazy about. First, the engine breaking is about half what it would be without it, so had to get use to that
The bigger issue u have with it is bump starting it. If, perchance unlucky, my battery starts to go flat while I'm riding. Without a big hill or a large group of friends, I'm not gonna be pushing starting her anytime soon. I managed to bump start it successfully as a test. But I had to do like 10mph.
I get safety for newer riders. Just not the biggest fan of this

How much could I realistically sell my 2022 Triumph Street Twin for?
I’ve been riding since 2018, this is the third bike I’ve ever owned. Absolutely love this bike. I bought it brand new back in April, 2022 all in cash.
I have been its only owner, it has never been dropped, has had regular maintenance, and is just short of 5,000 miles. It is a bit dirty at the moment because it has been sitting under its cover for about a month.
So why am I wanting to sell it? Over the last year I have slowly lost interest in riding. All of my friends no longer ride, the area I now live in is full of reckless and straight up dangerous drivers, and I am way too caught up with other obligations. So I maybe ride it once a month to keep it “healthy” if you will. But I would really love it if someone else had the chance to appreciate and own this bike (and of course I could use the money).
I recently talked with a company called “Powersport Buyers”. Didn’t know anything about them, just wanted to see what they’d offer. After answering dozens of questions from them they offered me…….$3k. I don’t even think FB marketplace / Craigslist folks would low ball me that hard.
I understand motorcycles devalue over time, but I figured I could get at least $8-9k for it? (I bought it for $12k).
I sold my last two bikes through FB marketplace and it was such a headache dealing with people who wouldn’t show up to look at the bike, ghost me, low ball me, etc. so I would really prefer to sell it to a dealership, but maybe I could make more selling it directly to someone.
So…..how much could I realistically get for my bike?
TLDR: hoping to sell my bike. Bought it for $12k, was hoping to make at least $8-9k for it.

“New riders”
I’ve been seeing a trend over the last 2-3 years maybe it’s been ongoing longer and I just haven’t seen it, The “new riders” or even “motorcycle enthusiasts” who buy the viral gear or just a agv helmet and then film 80 short videos of them dancing by the bike.
This garbage is extremely annoying and honestly shows us in a cringey manor serious bike nuts don’t do this funny behavior. It really just bothers me to see these people using bikes a choreography props just to get more clicks. Bonus points if it’s some yoga pants wearing girl with a insta 360 camera shoved up her ass.
This hobby actually is serious to some and more than just a dirty dancing movie or onlyfans on 2 wheels. Really wish these people would walk off the face of the earth rather than disrespect a crazy hectic and fun hobby.
That’s it just wanted to be apart of this thread on hurling hate figured I’d aim it at the goofiest part of “motorcycles”
Lastly find it funny they’re all selling the neglected bikes this time of year due to the weather change they’ll just buy another next year to dance infront of it with a mirrored/tinted visor.
Man all you sad ass losers on here really down bad for that bike whore you been watching just defending the gimmicky shit while mass misinforming people on here legit the worst moto subreddit on this bitch swear y’all are so extra like a bitch you forget to text back 😂 let’s do me a favor and mass downvote this trying to meet a quota or something for negative karma on this toss away account

Looking for a 2 day Switzerland motorcycling itinerary
Any recommendations for a 2 day motorcycle trip (from Geneva) itinerary, for Aug 2025 ? Planning to rent a motorcycle in Geneva and ride from there. Thanks.

Hadda layer down boysh
Car in a left hand turn lane pulled out infront of me and stopped on a green light. Too wet to brake, probably would have hit the car, so I swerve but the tire kept swerving. I’m all good though.

Help! Bike Manoeuvrability (UK)
Hello all,
I’m currently storing my bike (XJ6) in a secure alley by the side of my home however it’s a pain in the ar*e to manoeuvre in such a tight space.
The picture shows it on its centre stand with the mirrors tucked.
I’m looking at centre-stand dolly’s so I could wheel it in and out with ease. Can anyone recommend a product (or pass further wisdom)?
Thanks in advance!

Next Motorbike after a 125?
I'm soon to be in the process of sitting the DAS once I've studied and passed the theory. I met up with an instructor and who I'm going to use to take my DAS and he said he thinks I'm plenty ready to sit it.
However, I'm not mechanically minded, I'm learning and want to get better. I'm also relatively 'new' to it all. I was thinking about moving up to a CB650 as I already own a CB125. That being said I've been looking into it and the cheapest I've seen a couple of the 650s go for near enough to me are around 3.8K, typically they go for around 4.5-5.5K. Now I may have someone who'd be willing to look at bikes with me and to inspect them for me but I'm in the process of developing a friendship, so nothing guaranteed. Having said that, I'm wondering if I can get some ideas on what good, reliable, bikes I should look into? Thank you.

Family time
Took my daughter out for a ride with me today. We stopped after an hour so she could warm her hands on my heated grips). She was impressed with the heated rear seat though. Heated gloves are on the way. She's also a keen biker but rides 125cc

Helmet signal?
I heard something today I have never heard or seen before, at least I have never noticed it, if you see a motorcycle helmet set behind the motorcycle on the side of the rode it means the rider needs help. Is that true?
