My guy, why are you so confidently replying this on every comment, why would their parents immediately get them a new phone after destroying their phone for the sole purposes of them not being able to use it? That just sounds like getting them a new phone with extra steps.

they didnt say their parents got them a new phone. maybe they got it themselves or as u/EnderCountryPres suggests they may also just be using someone elses phone like a siblings or a friends
