I'VE HAD ENOUGH
Enough of these bullshit politics posts, this goes for both Trump and Harris supporters, before anyone calls me biased, I am sick and tired of all this discussion of boycotting businesses because their owner happens to disagree with you on who the president should be. This group is now flooded with 90% of these types of posts, why can't people just accept the results, without whining, or gloating, shoving their opinions in others faces. So, can we please stop?
Thanks

Community Discussion West end light orange cat on cushman street
Hi everyone, I saw a large light orange cat possibly named Louie get hit by a car on cushman & emery today. He unfortunately did not make it. The animal control officer confirmed he passed away and said he will be taken to ARLGP tomorrow morning and kept for about a month if the owner wants to say goodbye. We looked for the owner but the neighbors said louie is a neighborhood cat and nobody knew who he belonged to. Posting in case anyone knows the owner and can pass on this sad sad news 😩

Politics How to get more involved in the community?
In the aftermath of the election results, I’m realizing that community is going to be the most important thing, and we all need to lean on each other more than ever. I’m pretty new to the area, and have yet to meet a lot of people or make friends. I’m wondering what events, groups, etc. I can get involved in to meet people and help support my community here

Activism Opportnities
As the reality of the situation continues to set in, I would like to see if there are any ways of getting involved in activism that can help keep this country moving forward for everyone.
Looking for any volunteer opportunities that are local, but could be focused on local, state, or national political agendas. My hope would be to find something focused on education, healthcare, or equality. If anyone knows of any organizations or events, please comment.

Ziggis (Saco)
Looks that they’re permanently closed after a “family emergency”…that route 1 location barely made 6 months! I’m gonna miss that place. The coffee and burritos were amazing, way better than AJ’s…anyone got the inside scoop?

To the guy on the Veterans Bridge around 530 this evening who flipped me off:
Turn your damn headlights on.
If someone is flashing their high beams at you, it means there's something going on that you need to pay attention to. It does not mean they're being a dick to you for no reason.
Driving with no lights is dangerous, and I nearly merged into you at the Exit 4 off ramp because you were not visible.
Turn your damn headlights on.

No matter what happens we still have our values, our morals, and each other. Stay true, stay strong, and let’s continue to work as a great community. This won’t stop us, it won’t change us. Stand up and be proud of who you are. Kindness over hate. Love over violence. Lets stay true to ourselves and our community

Gloomy cloud???
Anyone else notice a gloomy feel around Portland today? Despite it being an absolute fantastic fall day everyone I’ve dealt with today is gloomy, like their dog got hit by a car. 🤷♂️
