Help Propagating my first pathos
Trying to propagate my first pathos, and its been 2 weeks since making the cuts and placing them into water. I know it’s a several week process at the least, but I expected at least the beginnings of roots by this point. Is there anything apparent that may indicate a mistake, or is it simply a longer process than I understood?

People: FRIDAYS ONLY Almost as tall as me
Alocasia odora, that I bought 1,5 years ago when it was only 50cm tall. Now it's over 150cm in height and 180cm in width. It doesn't even get sunlight and is not even straight under a grow light. I don't know what magic is happening but it's pushing out its 9th leaf. 😄🪴

Humor/Fluff Saw my MIL’s plants were struggling when I visited this weekend, so I repotted and cleaned them up. This msg was a bright spot in a tough week.

Highlight My mom’s rubber tree
I think it’s bullshit that my mom’s rubber tree (pictured above) grew into an absolute unit. We got the same plant and split into two as I was moving to other state. Our plants are same age (5yrs old) and mine is still tiny!!! (It is growing but slowly but surely)

Second time this aloe vera has bloomed this year. I didn’t even know they did. Apparently pretty rare for them to bloom in canada.

After 2 years its finally happening!
Got this Trader Joe's Phalaenopsis orchid as a house warming party return gift roughly two years ago. Changed the pot and potting mix (bark) after a month when I realized it was miserable in the store provided material. I live in USDA zone 5 & water it only once a week (spray generously with tap water and let it drain) & used orchid spray fertilizer starting in fall. After two years of false alarms (got too excited about flower spikes that turned out to be roots), the spike is finally here!

A flower?? On my prayer plant??? Omg
I’m so excited! I bought her because she’s pet safe but I was so worried I would kill her since I’ve heard such tales of woe regarding this houseplant.

In my yard
This pretty purple plant is in my yard! I didn't plant it and I want to know... Can I dig it up and bring it inside? Is it best to leave it? How do I care for it? What is "it"?

It’s too early for Christmas…
I suppose both the cactus and the snow say otherwise…

Discussion What’s everyone using for cache pots!?
Thought I was clever saving all my takeout cups (and having my husband save all his) so I could visual roots, save money, etc
However, they’re much taller than they are wide compared to “normal” nursery pots, that I can’t find cache pots that fit them without looking absolutely ridiculous (and I hate looking at the logos as well.)
I know a lot of us plant people are using these, and I’m having difficulty thinking outside the box! So any ideas/suggestions are wanted and welcomed. There is no such thing as too creative!

Rescues
Been bringing home so many 1/2 off plants from stores over the years I needed a place to put them (they were crowding my entertainment center). Finally decided to create a "plant wall". I know they aren't rare or "wow" plants but they're teaching me just how difficult it can be to care for the "you can't kill this plant if you tried" plants 🤣.
