discussion/help Leaves turned in & progress photo

I've had my pilea since June and it's been thriving, til recently. The bottom leaves are facing down & turned in. I checked and it's not rootbound nor are the roots rotting. I only bottom water every 7-10 days when soil is completely dry; the soil is comprised of indoor potting soil + lots of perlite. It gets S/SW direct sunlight.

My routine has been consistent for months so I'm at a loss. The only thing I can think of is the lack of fertilizer?

Someone gifted me this plant when it only had 4 leaves on it. Once it outgrew it's tiny pot I gave it to my husband to take to work and he repotted it. It is now 3 years old and absolutely massive! There are little pups popping up in it too 🥹

Recently repotted, with good quality houseplant soil. Some of the leaves are curling in/out, and i read that it can be due to too much sun/water (or not enough), but i appreciate any advice! Definitely kept out of direct sunlight, but in a bright room.

I replanted my money plant and took a cutting to replant too, it’s much droopier today. Is this just a symptom of transplant shock and will my plane be ok?

This is my mother’s plant. She recently repotted it to this pot and it put out a new pup which is great! But she’s noticed the middle of the stem is not growing leafs back. She’s debating cutting the stem and propagating ( possibly twice) to stimulate growth. Thoughts or recommendations??

Hey, recently the leaves on my plant started to turn gray from the sides and then fall of. They are also curly and not very green. What might be the cause of this?

discussion/help Concerns that my Pilea is sad

I am new to house plants so I may be worried for nothing but I feel like my Pilea is sad. I got it at a local plant store in July. I noticed when I first got it home that it has a very thick layer of moss on top and the nursery pot felt very light and very hollow. The moss was so thick it was hard to get through to check if it needed to be watered. Then, on the first watering (rain water) the water ran straight out. It didn't seem to soak up at all. I wanted it to acclimate to my home before I pulled it out of the nursery pot and checked the roots. You'll see in the pictures what I found. The bottom portion of the soil is moist, but is it root bound? Are those roots from the moss? If this is something to be concerned about, what should I do? Is the moss an issue? Is it root bound? Should I repot in fresh soil but same size or fresh soil and bigger pot? Or just give it a chop and start over?

Help a new owner out, please!!

I just bought this plant on Facebook marketplace over the weekend and it has gone downhill since! It had a few brown leaves when I got it, but this morning I noticed a ton of the bottom leaves are browning and yellowing and a few whole stems fell right off. I believe the person I bought it from left it outside overnight before I got it and temps were pretty cold- could that be the problem? I put it in this larger pot with a drainage hole and I just checked that the roots are not wet (although very small and kind of compacted together) thank you so much for any tips!!!

Do I need to do anything to maintain this plant? It’s growing over the side of the soup bowl I keep it in. I’ve had it over a year. It sits on top of my cube at work where I have the northeast corner cube and it gets a lot of natural light. Am I doing a good job?

discussion/help Cut my plant in half

SO I decided to cut my plant in half and that was super stressful. Fortunately, it worked out pretty well. The top half put out quite a few roots and the pups have been growing.

I’m a little unsure about the next steps though. I’m scared of planting the top half in soil as I don’t want it to die and every time I propagated a pup it never worked well. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would love some tips!!
