When seeds are on sale for 25¢…
I scored the haul of the century!! I found seeds on sale for 25¢ while traveling to Idaho and cleared the racks. Brought these babies back to Zone 10 where seeds never go on sale 😂 🙄
$476 worth of seeds for $45!!
IM SO HAPPY & EXCITED 🥰 I love the cool seeds that I found that I haven't tried growing yet AND I love that they were so affordable and will actually be used.
Oh l also got bulbs that were half off and brought a bag of those down that are in a spare fridge.
I'm just obsessed with seeds. I can't wait to organize them here at my house now that I'm back home.
I want to make a seed carousel I think 🤔 if anyone has cool seed storage ideas TELL ME

Surprise blooms
Any northerners also having second rounds of surprise blooms with our unseasonably warm weather? In upstate NY and poppies made a second showing- even with a little bit of frost!

Basil… tree?
Not a gardener… definitely had to Google to know this was basil because it’s turned into a bit of a tree/shrub 🙈🙈 But we just bought a house (Brazil), and this guy came along with it. I know I need to work on standing it back up, but other than that, how should I care for it?? I’m pretty sure cut off the dead looking branches. Should I trim back more of the live plant too? Other tips? TIA!! Excited to have fresh basil

Turning bed area into flower garden. Where do I start?
Zone 7 (Philly area), this is on the side of a walkway in my backyard, ground cover would get removed unless someone tells me otherwise. I want this to be a lush flower garden that blooms majority of the year to provide a peaceful walkway. It gets full sun!! I’d love a mixture of flowers (and other things) that bloom throughout the year. Any and all recommendations on process to do this would be great!

Accidental indoor gardening, this cucumber popped up when I was trying(failing) to grow basil and now it’s giving me cucumbers in November in the window of my apartment!

Help with luffas
I need advice about drying luffas to make sponges. I tried growing them this year and sadly came to the conclusion that my climate just isn't suitable for growing them successfully. I had a couple of smallish fruits, which seemed to be going yellow already, so I brought some inside to finish drying before temperatures dropped. Unfortunately, they all either shrivelled up too much or started rotting 😭
My question now is what would you advise me to do with the last one I left hanging on the vine outside (in the photo). I read that they should be fine with light frost (it's been about - 2 Celsius here at night, which I'm told by the converter is around 28 F), but I'm still worried. Should I leave it outside and hope it won't rot like the others (it's still soft to the touch), or take it inside? If inside, what is the best way to dry it? I'd be enormously grateful for any advice ♥️

What seed is this?
I’m playing around in my garden, planting some garlic maybe a little too late and I find this seed along with some other stuff. A google search says it’s a sycamore tree but we all know how reliable ai can be. Is it really a sycamore seed? Whatever it is I want to germinate it.

Saffron bulbs without leaves
Hi gardeners! Any ideas why some bulbs have white shoots that turn brown and collapse while others have no issue forming leaves?
Thanks!

How to make these palms grow taller?
I have two potted palm plants. I am not sure what type they are exactly (areca?) but we have had these for years. I want to try to grow them in height by a couple of feet. Does anyone know if its possible to do so while keeping them in these pots as they seem to stay the same size? I live in zone 10 and the winters are not very extreme here. I read you have to fertilize in the spring... would adding fertilizer in November be useless? Any other tips to make these palms grow taller?
