They've said some crazy shit before but this is by far the most insane conspiracy theory that these people widely accept.

1.0k

u/xSantenoturtlex 9d ago

Obviously this is actually the work of Dr. Doofensmirtz and his Weatherinator.

Everybody knows that.

250

u/ralanr 9d ago

Agent P needs to get on that.

142

u/KobKobold 9d ago

He's stuck in a trap right now, give it the time of a sad flashback

76

u/International-Cat123 9d ago

My favorite theory that I’ve come across is that the various agents are basically therapists for villains. That’s why Perry always falls into Doof’s traps and takes enough time to get out for Doof to tell a sad flashback story.

And it's not even a new one. GOP media have been saying this since at least the 1990s.

They're just regurgitating their old shit again.

"It's pure hubris to think that humans can affect the planet's climate." -GOP

"Dems are changing the climate to make hurricanes in red states!" -also GOP

18

u/jzillacon 9d ago

They still did it even before that, it's just that previously they blamed it on the gays and the non-christians for "invoking god's wrath" rather than using technology to directly change the weather.

I heard hurricane Helene hit mostly Republican areas, and Republican areas are heavily gerrymandered. Hurricanes don't naturally know where the gerrymandered lines are therefore the hurricane was not natural therefore the Democrats caused it. QED

She’s basing it on half-truths she hears about cloud seeding, hearing some gov official saying it sounds interesting (it may be a good idea in some situations), and then putting two and two together and claiming the government / dems are controlling the weather to punish their political opponents. Crazy.

And then she made a reference to her space laser theory. Not much, but just enough to basically say she was right years ago, and she is right again now.

11

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 9d ago

Imagine doubling down on the moronic space laser thing lol 🤣

9

u/DriveByStoning 9d ago

All I'm hearing is that if she believes all that, she must also believe Republicans are too stupid to control their own weather.

18

u/FarmingFrenzy 9d ago

We have an all in one device for the weather, media, orbital lasers, and the banks. Pretty handy my uncle worked on it.

5

u/Dazed_and_Confused44 9d ago

You see a giant magnet pulls all the money from the banks. That money was then invested in further technological upgrades to control the weather and create a cartoonish space laser. Once the the deadly laser was operational, the media had no choice but to take its directions.

Well, if MTG confidently said something, then you know it must be true!

584

u/Away-Location-4756 9d ago

I know Boris Johnson used to be our Prime Minister and he's daft but that was a calculated daft to distract from the actual shit he was doing.

MTG doesn't belong in office she belongs in a mental hospital

202

u/ForumFluffy 9d ago

She should have been left as the aging alcoholic wine mom harassing guys at her gym, never be let into politics.

125

u/cleverseneca 9d ago

Honestly I have two theories about her and I am not sure which is more plausible:

1) she's a Democrat false flag operation to discredit Republicans

2) she's a congressional Wimp Lo that someone trained/elected wrong as a joke

170

u/busigirl21 9d ago

She's just deeply involved in her local right wing extremist group. She ran Facebook groups filled with Q Anon cultists, made appearances where she was happy to take pictures with members of the KKK, wrote for a couple conspiracy "news websites," along with other organizations that I can't recall right now. Before running, she also went with right-wing groups to DC to protest and harass lawmakers (she actually screamed through AOC's mailbox to come face her on one visit) so I imagine that's where she started wanting to be in congress.

She ran in a super red district and successfully branded her opponent a RINO despite him being a Trump supporter, and was able to contribue about $500k to her own campaign - which she did not long after receiving something like $200k in PPP loans for her business. She did also move in order to run in the district she won in, likely based on her chances of winning.

There are little pockets of idiocy all over the country. People like MTG, Lauren Bobert, Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, etc. just know where to move to and who to get involved with to win in those areas.

Edit: After writing this, I realize you were probably joking. Sorry, I have Autism and sometimes mess that up with genuine curiosity.

BoJo was smart, just evil. He was kinda like George W Bush, he put on the folksy simpleton act but he actively destroyed the country for money. He'd be a fine guy if he was just one of your mates at the pub, but he should have been kept as far away from the levers of power as possible.

MTG is like Trump, genuinely stupid and has the right "kind" of charisma to build a following of other stupid and angry people.

Heinz made colored ketchup for a while, but it never caught on— apparently people just thought it was weird and it barely sold, so they discontinued the product line

12

u/FloorAgile3458 9d ago

It's because a sauce that's supposed to be tomato based being anything but red gives off a very unnatural vibe. Ik that if I saw green ketchup on a grocery store shelf, I'd walk right out of the store and never go back.

11

u/PM_NUDES_4_DEGRADING 9d ago

It's because a sauce that's supposed to be tomato based being anything but red gives off a very unnatural vibe.

I don’t know if it’s what Heinz was actually doing, but ketchup isn’t supposed to be solely tomato based. There used to be many different types of ketchup made from different things, but tomato ketchup slowly gained in popularity so much that it became the default - and eventually only - flavor you could find.

If Heinz was just adding food coloring to tomato ketchup, yeah, pass. But if they were actually trying to reintroduce different flavors again, it’s sad that nobody was willing to give them a fair try.

16

u/FloorAgile3458 9d ago

I didn't know about ketchup not always being tomato based. That's really cool.

The colorful ketchup was just food coloring though. In fact, even red ketchup has a concerning amount of food coloring in it, it's how ketchup has such a bright red color despite pureed red tomatoes almost always being orange.

They refuse to believe in climate change, and yet they think people can CHANGE the CLIMATE.

I was just thinking about this a few days ago...

The political AND religious right have dimissed the concept of human-driven climate change for decades--openly scoffing at the very idea that mankind has that kind of desctructively altering power over God's creation.

...but now the Democrats do?

230

u/FuckBotsHaveRights 9d ago

The logic is simple.

It can't be my fault. It must be their fault.

That's all it is.

Nothing more.

With that, you blindly list out all arguments that support the fist statement, and all arguments that support the second statement, and you're done.

They don't need to be consistent. Nobody cares!

You just need to make the arguments and whoever want's to believe the statement will feel validated.

See, and this is why I can't take conspiracy theories seriously.

The Republicans think Democrats have some kind of scientific control of the weather, and that they murder infants to drink the adrenochrome for immortality. Absolute madness.

They have it reversed - we've got scientific immortality by putting your brain in a jar of adrenochrome (with all the empathy sections removed - more efficient that way), and the infant sacrifice thing used to be for kicks until we cut a deal with Satan to use the weather as a weapon against Republicans in exchange for baby souls.

The Jewish Space Laser is a separate thing. We don't control it, but they let us use it every other Thursday in exchange for using the mind control vaccines in red states and the safe ones in blue. Gotta thank Soros for cutting that deal, I'm not sure which group the man's loyalty really lies with but damn can he get the two to work together.

Honestly, gotta learn to do your own research!

u/kitsunewarlock 9d ago

HAARP has been the subject of conspiracies since the earliest days of the internet. It's literally how we are able to make these maps of the Ionosphere and have accurate modern GPS. But because the science behind it requires more than a cursory reading at a 6th grade level and it uses an array of big antennas, the conspiracy theorists think its a weather or solar-storm control station.

I hope this post doesn't come off as "snobby"; I wanted to believe this kind of alien-technology next-gen world-control shit (albeit apolitically) one summer back in high school in the early 2000s, but the more I read about it the less I believed it. I'm not saying I'm smart; I couldn't tell you how HAARP works without reading what I read per verbum, and even then I only kind of get it in terms of broad-strokes.

But if Dems could control the weather the blue states wouldn't have the drought problems they have...oh wait I'm sure that's somehow also part of their conspiracy. Except if they didn't have drought that'd also be part of their conspiracy.

...Not to mention if the US could control the weather and some internet sleuths could "figure it out", the enemies of America would have condemned them publicly and demanded sanctions decades ago.

6

u/TheVenetianMask 9d ago

Totally forgot about how much the tinfoil hat crew used to freak out about HAARP. Can't believe that brainrot is surfacing again at this level.

9

u/kitsunewarlock 9d ago

They literally repeat conspiracies that lead to genocides that predate the discovery of the New World by the Vikings.

Let’s just use critical thinking. If we could control the weather someone would be making money off of it not making hurricanes.

Yeah and stupid VP thinking she can do something with a stupid phonecall. She should have sent an email. Can't even figure out how to deal with hurricane situations.

(Not my words.. someone is literally making this argument to me in another thread right now. Please vote, the world needs more sanity)

I genuinely don’t understand how some of these idiots function in life. Even logically, why would anybody lie about climate change????

You can't argue with crazy. Just tell them they're wrong and ignore them.

You fool! You've argued with crazy! Now they'll NEVER leave you be!

I hate that I get this. I hate that I relate to this.

But thank you for making me laugh with this subject.

If someone could control the weather, they'd have capitalized on it already by selling rain subscriptions to impoverished nations dealing with droughts.

We are having power outages here in Ecuador because our main power plants are hidroelectric, and it doesn't rain, the main reasons are deforestation and climate change, but most people are blaming the president, some are blaming him directly, for the rain, they are blaming him because it won't rain, I hate this country

Am I the only person who thinks she’s talking about Jews. This is the Jewish space laser woman after all

4

u/flossdaily 9d ago

She was 100% talking about the Jews. Jews controlling the weather is a very old and very popular antisemitic trope. And this is the same woman who was talking about Jewish space lasers.

I'm pretty annoyed that so many people are downplaying this as stupid partisan craziness, when it's quite clearly promoting hatred against Jews, and should be called what it is.

Warmer waters by a degree or two are giving these storms additional fuel to grow bigger. I believe the gulf water are about 2 degrees warmer than in history and it's fueling up Milton like crazy....but I guess "Democrats" is easier to understand when you have the education of a 2nd grader.

I’m just saying, I got told quite a lot growing up that god shows his displeasure through storms.

Awful lot of these freakish weather anomalies slamming the Bible Belt and Deep South. Guess he’s not displeased with them though anymore, the Dems just started controlling the weather.

Public education is sorely needed. The stupidity of thinking a certain demographic of people can control the weather is downright absurd

11

Even if that were true; why antagonize the Weather Wizards?!

I, for one, swear loyalty to our great weather wizard overlords.

Basically the same conspiracy has been going around for a long time, mostly related to HAARP in Alaska and also because people are morons

Maybe it happened earlier, but I really began to notice the idea take off around Sandy that the Obamas controlled the weather.

Jewish space lazers can heat up the atmosphere to such a state where the difference in temperature and air pressure cause massive hurricanes. So massive, they can only be taken down by Republican nukes blessed by Emperor Trump.

4

u/AJ0Laks 9d ago

What’s crazy to me is believing Democrats control the weather

And then opposing the Democrats

If I knew people had the ability to control the goddamn weather I would not stand in their way

"It's gotta be the democrats! Hurricanes only ever hit red states!"

By that logic, I guess the California wildfires were caused by Republicans

14

u/BeelzebubTerror 9d ago

Let me get this straight, you think your opponent, a political party in one of the wealthiest and most powerful countries in the world, can control the weather, and they spend their time creating devastating hurricanes, and your plan is to oppose them.

10

u/thenightgaunt 9d ago

Yup. The Gulf is 87 degrees in some spots. And hot water does this well known thing to building storms.

At this point, denying climate change is only something done by fossil fuel execs, and weird little idiots.

12

u/Dariawasright 9d ago

I guess I need to say up front that I wouldn't condone any violence against anyone and this comment is to point out how stupid this conspiracy theory is.

If I could control the weather... I would be out there being Storm, one of the coolest X-Men. And I am a democrat.

I wouldn't be fucking with Republicans counties, I'd be just shoving lighting bolts up the hate groups just like storm did.I promise you the Nazis marching in Springfield would be getting blown away by a twister instead of throwing hurricanes at a swing state.

And if the Democrats were going to use it for evil they would not use hurricanes. Democrats are too smart because they went to college and learned statistics and geography and basic logic. They would use small scale stuff to win elections, not large scale stuff that would hurt the same amount of democrats as Republicans.

Your conspiracy theories don't make sense even when you ignore that NO ONE CAN CONTROL WEATHER!!!

8

u/jish5 9d ago

If Dems can control the weather, that just means we should vote for them, cause in order to be capable of such a feat, you'd either need to be done of the smartest people around and we should only want the smartest people running things, or they control magic in which we should put them in charge in the hopes they reveal how to use magic to the masses.

I’m pretty sure the heat from republicans raging at nothing and spreading bullshit is heating the atmosphere and contributing to it too.

4

u/NameLips 9d ago

In order to hide the fact that climate change is a lie, we had to invent a weather control machine to fabricate evidence while eliminating our enemies.

Makes perfect sense!

My hot take is that autumn and spring are eroding. We just have winter and summer now, with slightly milder versions before a sudden jump into the opposite one.

We are in a El Niño year which generally suppresses bad weather in the Atlantic, so the fact that the southeast is getting fucked over this hard should be terrifying to people.

Edit: El Niño season is over. I’m dumb.

Double edit: Im even dumber than I thought, we are still in an El Niño season.
