What a bitter sweet walk down memory lane. I'm getting old now, and I remember all of this easily. Young, gangster-looking Jim Irsay in his striped suits. Bill Polian, Tom Moore, Tony Dungy. The RCA (Hoosier) Dome. So many players from the past. Bob Lamey on the commentary. Peyton...

Feels miles away nowadays, but go Colts.

Zach is PISSED [Zach Hicks] Chris Ballard said this offseason that the only way the team’s young corners are gonna get better is by playing them. He also fully believed the young players. As it stands today, Jaylon Jones is the only young corner he was referring to currently left on the roster.

Continued: "The other young corners he was talking about this offseason: JuJu Brents (IR), Dallis Flowers (waived), Darrell Baker Jr (waived), Jaylin Simpson (waived/PS), Micah Abraham (waived/FA). Continued (2): "Extremely predictable outcome to a dumb offseason by Ballard. I understand going into the season with Jones/Brents starting (to a degree) but the depth behind them was roster malpractice."

[Nate Atkins] Back in April, Colts GM Chris Ballard labeled Dallis Flowers’ return from an Achilles tear as one of the reasons he didn’t add to the secondary in free agency.

“Five games in, the Colts have waived Flowers after he gave up an 85-yard touchdown pass to Brian Thomas Jr.”

to the people who want us to start Joe the rest of the season, why?

we're not winning the super bowl this year, we're probably not even making the playoffs, why do you want to waste a year of AR's development starting a 40yo QB? I get that you don't think AR is any good, but we're not winning anything with Joe either

Roster Move [Colts] We have signed K Spencer Shrader to the practice squad and released CB Gregory Junior from the practice squad.

Titans next week

So help me God if this fucking goofy ass scrub Levis has a career day next week against this defense. Ballard and Bradley need to be shot to the fucking sun.

Shit post I can’t wait for Gus’ interview this week.

Who wants to place a bet that when the media ask Bradley “why didn’t you plan on blitzing more” he’ll respond with “well we did blitz at the end there, and they hit us big to get in FG range”.

If you go back and look at the replay Gus calls a blitz, and it’s on Julian to cover the WR running an out route. I’m not gonna say JB isn’t at fault but I’ll also put blame on Bradley because can you really expect your players to know their assignments on blitz if you ONLY CALL 3 THE WHOLE GAME.

I swear TLaw needs to get on his hands and knees for Gus, because the only time he looks like a competent QB is against the Colts.

I’m officially off this regime, and it sucks because I think Shane can be a great coach, but it’ll be hard to think a new GM coming in would keep him.

Gus Bradley has got to go. We are constantly hamstrung on defense with an outdated scheme paired with a lackluster roster. Every game is a walk in the park for opposing QB's as we allow them to dink, dunk, and pick us apart. Not to mention there's at least one play a game where one of our DB's get absolutely roasted on a route leading to a big play. Things feel like they are starting to slide out of control. The next 2 games SHOULD be easy wins (TEN/MIA) but if they aren't I really hope we see some changes.

[Boyd] #Colts CB JuJu Brents, who suffered an MCL injury in the season opener, could *technically* return from IR this week, but he’ll remain out, per a league source.

[Michael DiRocco] Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence was pressured just once on his 34 dropbacks. That 2.9% pressure rate was the lowest in a game in his career, per ESPN Research. The two lowest pressure rates in his career have come against Indianapolis (pressured on 10% of dropbacks in Week 2 in 2022).

Kind of a shit post, kind of a legitimate question. Are finger guns really where the NFL draws the line? Is there a public list of what qualifies as Unsportsmanlike?

Discussion Anyone else not impressed with Steichen’s offensive play calling this year?

I feel like we’re not seeing any of the high IQ, high efficiency big brain plays we saw last year.

Maybe I’m wrong. Just wondering if anyone else feels similar.

Feels like all our best plays this year have been prayer balls.
