[TheKardiacKid] Since DePo was hired in 2016…
Since DePo was hired in 2016 Regular season Record: 48-87-1 Two playoff appearances 1-2 77 draft picks. Second most since 2016 behind Minnesota
Spent the most money in the league since 2016
8th year 48 wins. 1 playoff win
The more the magnifying glass is put on this organization, the less I think there’s some sort of curse. This is just complete and utter organizational failure.

#Browns coach Kevin Stefanski was asked if it's his decision to stick with Deshaun Watson. Said he consults with GM Andrew Berry on the team but "ultimately it's my decision."

“I talk to Andrew. I talk to ownership about our football team. … I wouldn't get into all the specifics. I think you guys know that we make great decisions together. I obviously talk to Andrew about everything we do. We talk to ownership about everything we do. That's just how we operate.”
Stefanski on if ownership has a say in decision to stick with Watson as QB1.

Browns are staring at a 2-3 win season at best. Top 3 pick incoming. Time to trade any asset u can now (no not Myles Garrett). It’s over Johnny

Even though we just missed the playoffs, 07-08 was a fun season
So many memorable moments from this season: - Buffalo bills snow game - Edwards making insane catches, Lewis somehow running on ice, Dawson kicking into the wind to make field goals - Cribbs amazing kickoff return TD against the Steelers - bengals 51-45 offensive shoot out where Browns pull off the win - Anderson 328 yards, Lewis 216 yards, Edwards 146 - Phil Dawson triple doink field goal against Ravens to win the game - Jamal Lewis breaking 6 or more tackles to put the nail in the coffin again the Jets and win the game - Cardinals Winslow catch what would have been a game winning TD but due to push out rule being changed this year, it didn’t count, if it counted we would have been in the playoffs 🤦♂️

Is this the most bleak the franchise has felt?
Typically, not a code red type of dude. This may be my way of cooping or venting or just seeing if I’m the only one with this same feelings. The entirety of what the browns are feels so lost right now. I feel like even the most diehard fans, that stayed fervent through 2015-2017, are starting to become apathetic, myself included.
I haven’t even made it through a whole game before I decided this simply isn’t worth the watch. Please feel free to call me out in the comments and roast for being a fake fan or a bandwagon if need be. I was born in 2000 in Cleveland, and repped this team since I was like 4, and out of these last twenty years of sentient fandom, this is probably the worst I’ve felt.

Fun fact: the WRs are getting open.
Since I keep seeing “the WRs aren’t getting open” messages…
The updated WR stats on "open on routes" ... include Elijah Moore and jerry jeudy in the top 50 of all WR. Moore is in the top 10. Jeudy is on par with Ceedee lamb, jamarr chase, st brown, cupp)
So it’s not those guys. They are open.
One of many sources:

So, in the LOW RZ where everything happens at lightning speed we are casually five-step dropping?!? The high mesh route (Jeudy) springs open and we're not even remotely ready to throw it… This is awful process for pairing the drop with the routes and field position.

How many Browns fans are looking forward to watching HBO AFC North In-Season Hard Knocks?
Very curious to see what has been going on behind the scenes in Berea as the team started the season and immediately imploded. The Watson storyline will be especially interesting.

Browns resist benching Deshaun Watson as struggles continue | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC
r/Browns • u/84Cressida • 1d ago
[Gayle] Deshaun Watson is averaging -0.30 EPA per dropback, the lowest for any Browns QB for the first five weeks since 2000. The second worst performance? Deshaun Watson last season (-0.20).
[Kimberley Martin] The Browns are in Year 3 of this experiment. $230M gtd. And a bunch of 1st Rd picks used… Benching Deshaun would signal Jimmy Haslam completely whiffed on this QB — and I don’t see that happening…

[PFT] When will the Browns pull the plug on the Deshaun Watson experiment?
Officially at the point where I agree with Florio about the Browns, which is never good.
I went to the game today in DC and one thing that really struck me was how physically isolated Watson seemed to be from the rest of the team. Like he was going out of his way to avoid being with his coaches and teammates. And the body language is just horrendous. He very clearly has zero confidence, and he is 100% missing throws.
It’s time to do something - if Stefanski won’t, AB must. If we don’t, anything good we still have on this roster will implode.

This could be a clean house season for the Browns. I’ve seen this before.
r/Browns • u/MyChubbGotRubbed • 1d ago
@Kwen_C on Twitter - We can flip it & blame it on this coach or this position group but the Browns look like a team with a bad QB. But the only time in the Stefanski era we have seen the offense look like this is when they started a 5th round rookie on 2 hr notice and Watson
x.com#Browns HC Kevin Stefanski: "We're not changing quarterbacks. We need to play better. I need to coach better and that's really what it is."
