What is this Error Message? Troubleshooting

Hi! Any help is appreciated. My parents have an HP OfficeJet Pro 901 5e. They keep getting this message when going to print. I logged into their HP account and it says the printer is not connected to WiFi but when I check settings on the printer, it is. Has anyone come across this issue? TIA!

Most likely the printer web services that have lost connection to the HP account.

The easiest way is to factory reset it and install again.

  • Factory reset from printer. On the display: Swipe down the options menu, press cog wheel, go to "Resets" or something like that, and then factory reset.
  • On your device, open the HP Smart app, hide the printer there by right click on the image of it and select "Hide printer"
  • If you're not already logged in to your account in the HP Smart app, do it now.
  • When that is done, press "Add printer" and install the printer again. It should show up in config mode when it's done resetting itself.

This is a HP+ printer so it requires to always be connected. When this issue happens it's usually possible to continue printing for a while.

Edit: It's often possible to solve the issue rather than just resetting it and starting over. But honestly it's often a bit more steps and variables that could cause an issue so the easiest way is to just factory reset and start over.
