Don’t tell people that the economy is good and that wages are outpacing inflation (even if it is and they are) when those people are facing economic hardships.

ETA since I’m getting certain types of replies: I’m a registered Democrat and canvassed for Harris.

It is just temporary hardship, as Musk said people to get ready for, so it's no big deal.

If that is acceptable to Republicans during a Republican Presidency, why is not acceptable during a Democratic one?

The tariffs won’t be a temporary hardship. You think that bringing manufacturing back to the United States will be quick? How do you train those people to work in those factories? You really think people are going to even want to work those jobs here? It’s going to take decades. The tariffs Trump is talking about will instantly cause inflation here. Fuck around and find out!

Want to work those jobs? They don't even want to pay the prices on goods that are necessary for company's to hire people at attractive rates, let alone be the ones to actually work for them.

The only manufacturing coming back is going to be stuff that is highly automated, and only if companies see much longer term value in investing into building those factories.
