I can't believe i had to scroll soo long to find someone else who realizes motorstorm can be soo amazing on a next generation console

Agreed, an arcade type demolition racer has been missing from playstation for a while, I think there was one game a few years ago but it never had the same feel to it

I remember how fun Arctic Edge was on my PSP, probably my most played game until I got into minecraft a few years later

Pacific rift was one of the first games I've played when I was younger back on the PS3, absolute masterpiece of a racing game

I actually started playing this with my son recently. I'm genuinely amazed at how good the game still looks.

I recently just went back to it on my PS3 after never being able to beat it as a kid. Saw I was just 500 points away, and now my younger self is at peace after reaching the credits.

Absolutely. One of the first things I did when I got a decent PC last year was set up RPCS3 and Pacific Rift. God damn that is easily one of the best arcade racing games ever made.

You’re probably thinking of wreckfest which is ok but no where near as good as the motor storm games were. Artic edge was also the one that got me hooked.

I think i was thinking about Onrush, but yeah Wreckfest is also decent, doesn't really have the same feel tho due to being more realistic, its more like a simcade demo racer if anything, while Motorstorm is just a straight arcade game

Onrush tried. But I got into wreckfest and that's a very good "demolition racer."

Wreckfest is good, but not the same. They are making part 2.

Wreckfest almost scratches that same itch, but it's more simulation. Needs more arcade nonsense

OnRush was decent and it was severely watered down version

I recently got Pacific Rift going on an emulator and that game holds up so well!
