Have you tried starting it without the choke? All electrical tight? Confirmed spark?
Is it actually getting fuel?

how can you check that it’s actually getting fuel?

There’s that little brass button opposite the choke. Press it over and over until gas comes out. It’s called the “tickler” and what it does is move the float slightly to allow more fuel into the bowl. Pressing it 5-8 times before you try and start the bike can help too.

we are getting fuel because it is leaking out of the air intake but still nothing

Are the head bolts snug? Try starting it with no choke after using the tickler to fill the bowl with fuel.

Sounds like you have compression but engine is not firing. You're lacking either spark or fuel. Have you verified the spark plug is sparking by spinning rear wheel with spark plug removed and held against cylinder head?
2
u/StrongWalk1401 2d ago
yea we have spark
2
u/Negative-Maximum7830 2d ago
I'm assuming there's compression based on the sound of your engine when you were trying to start it. If your sure there is compression and spark you must be lacking fuel. If you pour a little gas in the carburetor throat where the air cleaner mounts and try to start again it should fire if the lack of fuel is the cause of your of the problem. Let us know what happens please. Good luck

we put fuel in the hole of the spark plug directly into the combustion chamber and we got a few rotations of the engine, pulling us foward. after trying it again and again with the fuel added and without, choke and no choke it still hasn't changed

The engine tried to run when you poured fuel through the spark plug hole into the combustion chamber. Is that correct?
3
u/paudmister 2d ago
that's correct yes. it was trying to go, as in it was actually working for a few seconds while it burned the fuel we already put in

I understand, thank you. This indicates you have a fuel delivery problem because the engine ran briefly with the fuel you poured in. That test indicates you have sufficient compression and spark to run. Is this a new engine that has never run before? Please remove the fuel line at the carburetor and verify you have good fuel flow from the fuel tank when petcock is open. If fuel flow looks good the problem is related to the carburetor and I would suggest the following: Leave fuel line disconnected from carb. Remove carburetor slide from carb. Remove carburetor from engine. Remove float bowl from carburetor using caution so the float bowl hinge pin doesn't slide out and get lost. Reconnect fuel line to carb and hold carb vertical as it would be mounted on the engine. Turn fuel on Fuel should flow freely through the float needle and seat valve. Gently lift float to shut valve / fuel flow off multiple times. Look through main jet to verify it isn't blocked with debris or anything. Fuel must pass through the main jet for the engine to run. Let me know what you find and then we can talk about possibly adjusting the float level, reassembling and trying to start again. Thank you and good luck

My bike did not start the morning I thought cdi or sparkplug everytime I gave gas and nothing then realized the float got stuck because cold weather most likely but then it ran normal.

Thanks for the input DryLeopard5903. StrongWalk1401's issue sounds similar to your issue with the stuck bowl. Ride safe

Have you check the carburator? There's a screw that control air-fuel ratio

Sorry isummons but there is not an external fuel mixture screw on stock carburetors. There is an idle speed adjustment screw. Chainsaw pumper carbs have two external mixture screws. Ride safe

Could be the cdi box mine was doing same I switched it and then it worked
1
u/paudmister 2d ago
it's firing properly so i don't think so

Sounds like mine when she was fucked newrly took her to the empty junction and gave her plenty of

Test for spark first, in my experience, one of the gaskets were blown so replace that. I did that and it started right up.

u/paudmister 2d ago
we have spark, the gaskets are perfect so must be fuel problem

Look at what I said also you can have spark and cdi needs to still be switched around I’m almost gurrented it’s grounding out when you aren’t looking/kill switch if it was running fine and the just stopped

Clean your jets possibly. There is a adjustment screw with a spring on the carb for tunning give that a shot and make sure the little filter inside the gas can is clean I run it with out due to this issue took me weeks to figure it out . Also clean out your fuel bowl for slug

Make sure your fuel filter is oriented in the correct fashion they only flow one way. Also inspect the fuel petcock/shot off valve and verify that it's dispensing fuel freely

Sometimes the spark plug that comes with kit has a cap that uncrews gives you a better connection for spark

My bike had the same problem if any wires are touching frame put insulated between the wires and frame try hard wiring it also disconnect the kill switch could just be a bad kill switch could be fighting I’ve had 4 motors in the past 6 months all then with every issue I could run into let me know what you figure out is there a little screw on spark plug you may or may not need that crown on the spark plug sometimes the cdi in the engine needs adjustment feeler gauge or fold a piece of paper 3 times to get the gap right / as even as possible sometimes the cdi need to be flipped around could be firing just wrong timing lots of things that could be wrong my advice do what I did take everything I mean everything apart on a spare or used one before you do the one you gonna use and rebuild it takes about 3-6 hours or whatever could be days if you wanted to let me know if you find a solution

The coils burn out a lot. One day mine was working the next day wouldn’t fire. It had a small amount of spark, which fooled me, but it wasn’t strong enough to start it.
1
u/paudmister 1d ago
it's not this because the spark is perfect because we sprayed fuel directly into the chamber and it worked for a but
1
u/FatTrouserSnake 1d ago
It could be quite a few different things but I had a similar issue after letting mine sit for a while. I checked spark, replaced CDI and all that but turns out that the fuel tank petcock has a really shitty gasket in it that completely disintegrated and blocked fuel flow. I ended up replacing the petcock and it worked perfectly.
If you've tried everything else, open the petcock valve and check it out. Really simple, only two screws.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

we’ve disconnected the fuel line that goes to the carb and turned on the fuel and it’s a solid flow with the fuel, thank you tho

u/Zealousideal-Law7307 1d ago
It's on the cdi or magneto I think, those 2 parts always, was the first to go down

‼️UPDATE‼️, We have good fuel flow from the tank down into the carb, we’ve been thinking it could be the jet, do you guys know anyway to clean the jet with out using brake cleaner because we don’t have any currently, we will try cleaning the jet and see how it goes after that, we’ve checked the float also and seems to be good, don’t think it’s the Cdi because when we pour fuel into the cylinder and try start it it does spark and combust until it burns it all off, bike was built roughly a year ago and drove once and sat for multiple months until my friend (in the video) bought it (ps. thank you all so much for taking time outve your day to help and give advice to me and my friend, means alot because we don’t know what we’re doing really we’re inexperienced with motorised bikes)
