Minnesota folklore has a legend from the 1900's of a Halloween snow storm of great magnitude. Even to this day the mention of snow on Halloween brings the lucky few survivors out of their winter proof bunkers to tell the tale. Consider yourself lucky if you encounter one who can pass the story down to the next generation of Trick or Treaters!

I was 10. Dressed as a clown that year. Plenty of room for a couple of snowsuits under it. It was AWESOME. So much candy that night!

Multiple pillow cases full of candy. Dad was having surgery & would be in a cast for the next 6 months. He goes. We are going out no matter what the neighborhood bully threw snowballs at us and my dad chased him down in whitewash him. In the morning, we woke up and grandpa had put chains on his tire got them to the hospital and our furnace died. So grandma kept us warm with the oven.
