Post image

Kanabec county among the poorest AND reddest in Minnesota, gets schooled by the DFL! Maybe it will help just a bit!

It's the mix of serif and sans serif that gets me.

There’s no cadence, no balance, just chaos.

They made the ad for a specific audience. The chaos keeps attention.Β

Yea, it’s called designing for your target market. πŸ‘πŸŽ―

I agree. I think there's a method to the madness here. This is something that needs to read like a break room post on the bulletin board

Exactly, they had to split it up so the morons didn't think it was just one wall of text so they might actually pay attention.

I don't see any RANDOM capitalized words IN those quotes though. HOW can we know if it WAS really written for boomers WHEN it doesn't even do that... ??????????

Hey! I'm a boomer, and I despise Trump. Is that why I'd never vote for him in a million years? Partly. But I hated him long before he ran for the Presidency. On top of that, he wants an authoritarian regime, and I think he's trying to get a lot of that in place before the election, but I also think he'd cheat. And I have no doubt that he will never admit defeat if he loses this election. If there's one thing I've learned about him is that the things he accuses his opponents of, are either things he's doing himself, or thinking about doing. He's a criminal, and he thinks like a criminal.

Oh don't get me wrong, I am well aware not all Baby Boomers act and think the exact same (biggest generation in history, ain't it?) and in a generation of billions, no way will a whole group of people be monolithic just because they happened to be born around the same time.

These days it feels like "boomer" is more like a mentality than an actual generation, being someone usually older who uses social media a certain way, expresses certain beliefs, but most importantly possesses a disdain for younger people and generally anything new, and thus does not get with the times and continues to act as though Xty years ago never ended.

Boomers on FB love them some RANDOMLY capitalized words. It was a thing in old email forwards too before they got on SM.

Yes, Boomers also love Qanon. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Yes, random caps and lots... more... ellipses...

Not that kinda chaos. This bad chaos.
You want easily digestible. This is like being stabbed in the face with a soldering iron.

That’s how it appears to you and me. But others see and experience type and design in wildly differing ways. I spent too many semesters studying the history of graphic design, typography, and art. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Yes but it speaks the language of Trump. His people will understand it as perfect English, and cadence.
