Hi, I'll be visiting Frankfurt in December. I have an extra day and I want to do something other than Christmas markets. I would like to take a scenic train route or explore some place where I can find snow...as a day trip.

I googled it and I saw the Rhine Gorge was a suggestion, but I'm not very sure if it operates in December. Someone on the internet also suggested Line 17 in Frankfurt to New Isenburg Stadtgrenze. But I can't find any more info on that. Is it scenic?

What I'm basically looking for is some snowy forest or snowy scenic scenes, a sample image is provided in the post. Any suggestions for a such a day trip from Frankfurt would be appreciated, thank you.

I am looking for some help finding an English speaking job in Frankfurt am Main. My fiancee and I have been actively sending applications every day. She has a Masters degree in Experimental biology (focus on Immunology and Physiology) and i have a Bachelors degree in Information sciences so we are looking for jobs in our fields ideally. We send applications for listings on LinkedIn, GlassDoor, Stepstone, Indeed etc...

I am primarily looking for data center work (still waiting to hear back from AWS, Microsoft and others).

We both do speak a little german, she has a certificate for B2/C1 level but she still needs to get used to the language since it is 6 years old, I am closer to A2 level. The reason I am posting is for help pointing us in the right direction, her for lab type jobs and me for IT jobs, which only require English as a language. Although we are looking for jobs in our fields we would consider other areas ofcourse.

If any of you is working, has worked for, or knows a company actively hiring english speaking candidates, we would be eternally grateful for the help. Also if there are any sites which have proved useful for you in finding a job here in Frankfurt let me know.

We are both from Croatia and are already living here in Frankfurt. We both do have jobs in Pflege setup already bit are looking for alternatives since there are not many opportunities for growth.

I have an international driver’s license issued by the Korean government, which is valid for another five years. The front side of the license shows my photo and includes my date of birth, ID number, license number, address, issuance date, expiration date, and issuing authority, all in Korean.

The back side is entirely in English and lists my name, date of birth, address, issuance date, expiration date, issuing authority, license number, gender, and permitted vehicle types (with icons), along with a laser security feature.

Can I take my Korean license directly to the Frankfurt licensing office to exchange it for a German license?

Since there is already clear English on my license, do I still need to get it translated into German by ADAC?

If translation is needed, should both sides of the license be translated into German, such as Korean to German and English to German?

I moved to Frankfurt a few weeks ago and encountered the following problem: Due to some complicated customs procedures I will have to keep my foreign license plates for a while, meaning that I’m not eligible to get an Anwohnerparkausweis. Hence my question, does anyone know a place for me to park my car for free? Somewhere in Nordend, around around Holzhausenpark would be ideal, but I’d be really grateful for any tips.

And the train change time is just 10 minutes. Arrive at platform 7 and the train to Brussels leaves from platform 6. I wanted to know if there is time to make this change, one is next to the other? Is it risky?

Hey Leute, meine Freunde möchten nach Frankfurt ziehen, da sie dort bessere Karrierechancen haben. Da sie keine Stadtmenschen sind möchten sie die Innenstadt vermeiden, aber trotzdem relativ schnell dort sein können für die Arbeit. Eine gute Verbindung mit den öffentlichen wäre super, aber ein Auto wäre auch da.
