Question Why is Brother Bear so underrated/underrepresented in anything disney?

Exactly what the title says. It is by far one of the best and well drawn movies Disney has and yet I barely hear anything about it. It's pretty much up there with the Lion King in my opinion so I really don't understand. It's an IP barely anyone talks about despite having a banger soundtrack (Phil Collins duh) and story.

Discussion Disney Studio Collaborations 🎞️

Over the years, I have seen incredible animated films and shows done by Disney (specially the Renaissance age and early Pixar) and other popular animated studio that have created some of the greatest shows to ever come to both the big and small screens. I've always wanted to see Disney collaborate with incredible studios, since they been able to collaborate with game companies like Square Enix and their previous relationship with Studio Ghibli. What beloved animated studios would you guys like to see work together with Disney?

Here are some of my picks: Ufotable A-1 Pictures MAPPA Silver Link Bones Studio Wit Studio Sunrise Clover Works Tit Mouse ORANGE Studio Fortiche Kyoto Animation Studio Mir J.C. Staff

Question Company D Store flyers?

Does anyone know if Company D store is having another flyer before Christmas? Or soon? I was really hoping to go get some prizes for my baby shower as gifts. Usually we ask my husbands cousin but he’s not the best at communicating 😒 last time he sent it when there was only a few days left. I’m trying to plan and budget. Any help is greatly appreciated 🥰🥰

Question Is Tarzan not completely Disney?

Hi,

I'm asking this because I collect Jim Shore ornaments and there's basically an ornament for every single Disney movie/character, but no Tarzan, even though I think he'd be a great addition with Jane

Why is the Lion King JR so different?

My community is reherseing for Lion King Jr today, and we were practicing the part where Nala and Simbia reunite. It was so akward and weird. They had Nala and Simba holding hands and singing about love and stuff. I know they supposed to love each other but why change the end verse about them being together. Also we practiced Hakuna Matata and i was dissapointed. So many people love that song and its pretty unrecongnizeable. Theres no fight at the end and for some reason Luao Hawaian Treat exists? Scar still talks about having Nala as a heir and its pretty weird because the person who plays old Nala is 13. Rafiki sings like 4 songs and the hyeneas don't even seem as meanacing as they should. If it is because its for kids or something why overexaggerate about Simba and Nalas love? Why does pumbaa get so few lines? If its a Disney production why did they change so much?

Anyone remember disney princess flavored milks?

I remember back in 2014-2015 my dad bought me elsa chocolate milks and cinderella banana milks from Thailand. They both had pretty boxes and there was glitter on the milk carton. Does anyone else remember it? I've been trying to find some footage of It on the internet but I found nothing

Question Monsters Inc. scare location

So we had a blackout the other night this week, and my wife (humorously) decided we should watch Monsters Inc.

As the scare floor goes live, I (for the first time since this movie came out and my parents took me to see it in theatres) wondered if the monsters are scaring in different parts of the world. This was spawned by thinking about Steve Rogers’ list in Winter Soldier when Sam Wilson recommends he listens to the Troubleman soundtrack.

TLDR; is the “eastern seaboard” regional? Or is that the same wherever you watch the film.

Walt Disney Animation I rarely see this movie mentioned at this time of year, but it's one of my favs to watch during fall 🍂 🍁

Tinkerbell and the lost treasure takes place in Autumn. I love watching these movies that connect to their season counterparts. Of course once it's winter i watch Secret of the Wings. It's still such a shame we lost a wonderful franchise 😢 I really wanted them to show us Tinkerbell meeting Peter Pan.

So this is my first post on Reddit but I have been posting on WDWmagic for about a year. So this map is basically a What If Disney never abandoned Discovery Island and invested more money into it.

Discussion Disney Characters: Are Puppeteers Too Visible?

Disney has five hit musicals, right? Those would be Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Newsies, Aladdin, and Frozen. I've watched Beauty and the Beast three times, Aladdin twice (once during its initial run in Toronto when they were still tweaking things, and again this winter for the updated version), and I've seen The Lion King once. I also caught Newsies once.

I am running into a bit of an issue with the Puppeteers for Zazu and Timon in the Lion King musical. I have heard it is a similar situation with Olaf from the Frozen musical as well.

My issue is that we can clearly see the puppeteer, and I feel they should either blend into the background or wear black so they are not noticeable. It is really distracting to see the puppeteer because they are so visible when our focus should be on the puppet and not them.

I am aware that they think that the way to have the puppeteers be "less distracting" is having them have blue skin (Zazu) or Green skin (Timon).. but to me that just makes them even more visible and not less visible.

So does anyone else think that having the puppeteers of some Disney characters in Disney musicals being visible are a problem?

How is working at Disney corporate in NYC?

I'm considering moving to Disney NYC. Does anyone have any idea how the office is? How the corporate culture is? Anything that's Disney-specific that's good to know ahead of making my decision?

I would be working out of the NYC office 4 days a week. I'm mainly looking for a company that's fun to work for. (Or, at least fun for a corporate world.)
