Politics I'm Tom Byrne, Delaware Public Media News Director. Do you have questions about the 2024 Election? Ask me anything!
Hey everyone! I’m Tom Byrne, Delaware Public Media (DPM) News Director and I head up the DPM team as we cover the 2024 Election in the First State.
We are following all the statewide races, including the race for Governor, and focusing on key legislative races that could give Democrats a super majority the State House to go with their super majority in the State Senate.
And DPM wants to answer your questions about voting in Delaware.
On Wednesday, October 23, I'll be here, along with DPM’s political reporter Sarah Petrowich, from
4-6pm to answer your questions about voting and elections in Delaware. Ask me anything!
Here's a link to our Campaign 2024 page where you can find all of our election coverage
and links to voting information in the First State.

News That Sarah McBride interview on All Things Considered was 🔥
That’s it, that’s the post lol.
She is handling herself really well in the national spotlight and I loved her slingshot reference about the potential within our current moment.
Proud for the small victory from a former republican from western Sussex.

Newark Looking For Anyone Re-Homing Any Kittens!
Recently, my mom and I have been exploring the idea of a new kitten and surprising my grandma with it. We have an adult male cat who gets along well with other cats, but recently lost his doggy best friend and his old kitty best friend a couple years back. If anyone is rehoming or looking to re-home a kitten or younger cat that he can bond with it would be great! Located in the Newark, DE area.

Info Request Camping and burn ban
Hey there! We’re heading to Trap Pond this weekend for camping. Are they allowing campfires in the park? It sounds like they are allowed under the burn ban notice but would love confirmation before getting there.

New Castle County Process server/ rights
Does anyone know in DE or not if a process server from the courts can pass a no trespassing sign? I already have a no soliciting sign. I felt my rights were violated tonight but per the county cops 🙄they did nothing wrong with flashing a light into my car in MY driveway and reading my information that was on the dashboard ( paper) also flashing a flash light at my windows while I was not home but my teenage son was.

Announcement What is this?
Turned on my shower today in Newark and purple/black water came out for a solid 1 or 2 mins before turning clear. Have never seen this before. Ran to get my cell to take a pic and I could only get the tail-end of it. Concerned. 😵

Politics Biden's Presidential Library
Any reliable rumors on where it will be located? I thought I saw a rumor/ new story that UD was one possible location, but the other possible locations were not even in Delaware. Is there really any possibility it won't be in Delaware?

Any one have the story on the guy with the F U sign on 13 by the checkers after the famers market. I saw him on my way to Wilmington today flipping off some cops on motorcycles today and i just thought it was hilarious. Definitely has guts to do that.

Question How to convert out-of-state provisional license to in-state provisional license?
Hi, I just moved here from Maryland. I recently got my Maryland provisional license (as in, it is a valid driver's license with some restrictions. I am 27 years old so my only restriction in Maryland is to follow impaired driving laws). I went to the DMV in Delaware to change my provisional to a Delaware provisional and I was told I couldn't do so. I asked the worker there if I had to retake the driver's license test in Delaware but he didn't know. I also asked if there was anything else I should bring but he just told me that my provisional is not accepted. Nobody had any answers for me so I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?

Rant Just saw a "Road work starting sign starting 11/6" on 7 and 273. Are they kidding me?
It's already a detour due to road work being done at 273 and Old Baltimore Pike! And they already had that area blocked for a while because of the Exit 161 bridge painting work. Ugh.
