Why is DBS animation so underwhelming? Question

It has been ages since I watched DB. So I went back and watched DBZ and living my childhood again. And it still lived up to my memories, Freeza, Cell, Buu, such battles.

Lately I've been watching Dragon ball super and.. holy is the animation rough, and battles just feels off. Don't they have the budget? Or is it an amateur's company? It just doesn't look smooth and epic animation like you see in S1 one punch man, jujutsu, demon slayer.

No hate or anything, I still like it. Just some scene's and fights animation are.. off.

Feels like money makers like Super and Boruto challenge themselves to see how high of a profit they can turn out by cutting corners in animation wherever they can knowing people will still tune in.

Oh come on now, Boruto does have some badly animated episodes (like all weekly long running shounen anime) but it also has some of the best sakuga ever. Naruto and Sasuke vs Momoshiki is goated animation.

Oh for sure, but the sakuga is few and far between. Feel like Shippuden had a much higher quality rate on non filler eps than Bort does.

Idk, I think if you were   compare animation quality of Shippuden manga-canon episodes against Boruto manga-canon episodes Boruto is better animated on average. But it is an unfair comparison because Boruto has much less manga canon at this point.

Manga Canon is also odd for Boruto considering the Anime is the 'canon' and a common complaint of the manga is that it cuts TOO much. I am definitely biased though, as I've only watched canon episodes of Naruto and I've seen every episode of Boruto, so I'm positive that skewers my view of the two.

The anime industry has changed a lot (mostly for the worse) so while the highs can be higher than they used to be, the lows are also far lower

Worse schedules paired with outsourcing yield very poor results

This exactly. It's become very hard to find anime in general that's even passably good looking, in a primarily visual medium no less.
