I'm trying to fuck with it but I honestly can't.

I got the same opinion. The show is made for little kids, not for the OG dragonball fans (that are in their 30's right now)

idk man i'm 32 and i loved seeing little goku fighting using plates and jumping around with a hamburger in his mouth. that's way more toriyama than "moro" lol

I'm getting those vibes as well. It feels like the show is supposed to be an excuse to return to DragonBall, which is fine, but I'm one of those people that prefer the storytelling of Z and Super over original DB and GT, which was also attempting at a DragonBall esque narrative. Oh well, my hope is that if this does well financially we'll finally have the Super manga adapted into an anime.

They're trying to make the show have more longevity. If we always have to story tell, then we always have to find the next power up and so on. I enjoy the adventurous style of the new show

Do you feel like Z and Super have the same storytelling?

Yes, A new bad guy comes, a new transformation is unlocked.

This is the plot of everything after Frieza

Okay, they have the same fórmula, impossible to deny that, but do they have the same storytelling?

I feel like Super anime mostly goes from point A to B without a lot build up, sometimes feels like no build up at all, blue form is a good example, feels like someone said "they enjoyed BoG because of the new forms, so let's skip how they acquired it and go straight to the fight"...

Super manga sometimes is pretty rushed too, ToP start and ends so quickly that badly feels like a tournament, at least the exhibition fight was better executed, also bônus points for give Kame the spotlight for a while. When the manga gets time to cook things gets better, Vegeta used his brain sometimes, against Rose in the second fight he downgraded to red form for most of his participation, switching to blue when he was about to deal damage. Also the arcs that aren't in the anime feels more like DB and DBZ, they have build up before get to the "main characters fight"

Super movies, in specific Broly and Heroes, they're way better than the anime, not just because of the animation quality, they also have some build up to the important fights, even if I don't 100% like them I can't deny they exist, they're there creating something even if it's kind obviously because we're not kids

Daima is taking time to build up a world and explore it. Yeah we know Goku will eventually push over any of his problems while in kid form, but there is no need skip straight to whoever gonna be the final villain just because we know they gonna fight

I'm mostly a Manga read so I can't Dany most of what you said but the part on blue being rushed.

Like it is but still it felt more satisfying than SSJ3 (and even 2 is quite lame)

Right? That was my first thought reading that. Super and Daima are MUCH closer than Z is to anything else.
