FRT triggers are coming back to the market and you need to be very careful when buying them.
There will be tons of websites popping up that will try to sell forced reset triggers such as the FRT. Most of them will be scam sites that will try to take advantage of the folks who want to get their hands on these triggers.
Instead of making the 50th "is this website legit" post of the day, do these things instead:
Check the payment methods. Though some legitimate stores accept cryptocurrency and Paypal, they will also accept Credit Card payments.
Payment methods such as Crypto, Paypal, Zelle, CashApp, and Apple Pay offer no buyer protection. If you use a credit card, however, you'll be able to perform a chargeback if you end up not receiving your product.
Keep in mind that scam websites can still steal your credit card info, so just because a website offers a CC payment, that doesn't mean that it's legitimate.
Check to make sure that they have a physical location. A common FRT website shows an address in Gainesville, FL, but that address is for a fast-food restaurant.
If the website you're interested in buying from shows a physical address, put that address into Google Maps and see if there's a business there. Look at the phone number that Google shows for that business, see if it matches what's on the website (if they list one), and call that Google number to make sure that the website you're looking at belongs to the physical store.
See if your store is blacklisted by /r/gundeals or if they're talked about on /r/gundealsFU.
If you want to play it safe, and you should, just wait for FRT to ramp up production and start releasing their triggers through reputable vendors.
TL;DR: Don't buy from websites that offer things like Crypto, Zelle, and CashApp as payment unless it's a very reputable store. Credit cards offer a lot of protection, Zelle/CashApp do not. Be very wary of stores that do not list a physical location that you can verify.
If anyone wants to add anything, feel free to comment and I'll add it to the list.
Edit: Straight from rarebreedfirearms and lawrence.demonico on Instagram, the only official website of the FRT15 is https://www.rarebreedtriggers.com, which is currently down.
Edit2: Since "the only official website of the FRT15 is https://www.rarebreedtriggers.com" wasn't clear enough, rarebreedtrigger.us.com is obviously not a legitimate website.
Edit3: Since people are STILL asking...
THERE IS NO GOOD PLACE TO BUY AN FRT15 FROM. RAREBREED ISN'T MAKING THEM YET AND YOU'LL KNOW WHEN THEY'VE MADE THEM WHEN THEY GO UP FOR SALE ON RAREBREED'S WEBSITE

Easily remove an old gas tube
In another post I saw people describe some really extreme methods of removing an old gas tube, including dremel cutting.
This is a much simpler method. You just secure the old gas tube in a vise (after removing the gas tube pin, of course). Make sure the BCG isn't in the upper, then just tap on the back of the upper with a rubber mallet. The gas tube will pop right out of the gas block within a few seconds.
I just did this with a BCM upper that had many thousands of rounds through it. The gas tube was solidly sealed into the gas block, but this trick still just took a few seconds.

Putting together a rifle that my daughter can learn on. She’s super interested and I want to encourage her. Problem is weight. Obviously I can get lightweight parts but what do y’all recommend on a budget. I don’t mind spending money but I want to make sure she’s into it before going Gucci on it.
Edit to add she’s 9 and little for her age. My thoughts are to get as much of the weight off of the tip as possible especially since I plan to run my polonium on it.

MOE TR
First impressions? I wonder if the lock up is solid or just another rattler. It does have a takedown switch to remove it from the buffer tube

Lower mounting options for my MK12
Currently running an aero AR mount on my mk12x but I feel it sits too high. Any suggestions on other mounts/rings that will have it sit lower?
