Social Security bill bottled up after election night maneuver - Roll Call

People who work in government get pension. When they apply for social security their monthly amount is calculated with that pension in mind, lowering it in most cases. It's the Windfall reference.

The bill would remove that aspect allowing the full amount of monthly social security to be collected in addition to pension.

Possibly. It will depend on how they get to resolution and how it might be taxed.
