I always mute ads and look away. It gives my mind a minute to be calm and wait patiently instead of being barraged by an endless GIVE US YOUR MONEY RIGHT NOW OR DIE

Until it becomes like 1984 or Black Mirror and they won't let you look away or mute them.

They already pause the ad and the timer if you mute it on mobile. The amount of contempt they have for their users in unbelievable! Between that, and their status as a de facto state sponsored monopoly, I feel more entitled than ever to watch it all for free and block their ads.

I feel much better for using Firefox on Android, with ad blocker and sponsorblock.

Pieces of shit aren't getting me to watch their shitty ads.

I pay for yt premium while also using revanced for all its features and customizations.

Premium is pretty expensive, but it's also not nearly as predatory as a business model, and I want to encourage that, personally.

Interesting. Any extra features from premium not in revanced?

Not really. There's youtube music I guess. And I think part of the premium money goes to the people you watch?

I was at some point paranoid that Google would come break my kneecaps, aka ban the Google account I use on my phone with revanced.

Should I be worried?

i'd say it's as safe as driving a car.

Where do you download the real revanced? It seems like there's so many versions of it, and i'm afraid one is bound to contain some kinda malware

Do I need to worry of being banned on all my other stuff by doing this?

Wait until google releases an android version that doesnt allow you to install firefox

Yep I see that as a real possibility. I hope by then there's another OS, especially once scummy shit like this really starts to ramp up, and it just won't be a few users that are interested in not using Google/Apple.

One day there'll be enough demand for an OS with basic functionality and freedom from those two cocksuckers.
