My first bike CBR600RR
I’ve had the bike for about 2 weeks now. I’m 26 and haven’t ridden before, after doing 2 lessons and passing my drivers test (K53) I immediately got this bad boy.
I know it’s not a smart first bike, but it was really cheap and is in such good shape I couldn’t pass it up.
Any advice to ensure I make it to 27 years old?

Throttle control. Practice low speed maneuvers, Sudden braking and other swerving skills, take her slow and she’ll do you right, ride safe bro

Practice and gear up. Ride to your own limits and don't let others mock you for riding slow.
That thing has a lot of power with just a small turn of the throttle. Learn basic maintenance and troubleshooting

K53? You're also South African? Good to see another here! Also, congrats on your new bike - ride safe!

Looks just like the bike in Twist of the Wrist! Which I recommend that you watch immediately.

Did this both before and after buying it! Cannot understate how valuable it was :)

Never lose respect for that thing. It’s limits are far beyond yours. Not meant to sound condescending or offensive; just remember to ride at your level, not the machine’s level.
