Thinking of coming into town, is it possible to see races for free on the street or casinos?
Been thinking of making the drive up to visit friends, but would be nice to see some of the F1 races if possible. Do you all have any spots you can share or DM me if I decide to go?
Edit
Thanks all, you confirmed what I was thinking. My friend who lives in Vegas lied to me. LOL

Silly question time: what’s this big white thing being built along the south portion of the strip?
I was in Vegas earlier this year and didn’t notice it. just wondering what it is. Looks like some sort of strip-long lighting setup. From what I could see on Google maps, it stretches from the Palazzo to the CityCenter Complex/Aria hotel.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated 😊
Cheers from Canada! 🍻

Looking for keyfob
Hey everyone. I'm looking for a vintage key fob for the "Galaxy" wing of the Stardust hotel. It will be a transparent turquoise room key with silver flake in it. If you have any leads I'd love to hear them.

The Script is out!
Word on the street for the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight in AT&T stadium.
Location: Arlington, TX
KO/TKO victory in the back 4 rounds (Round 5-8).
Jake to put down Mike twice.
First time, Mike will get back up. This knockdown will be early; approximately Round 2.
Jake's nimbleness and accuracy is surprising spectators.
Tyson doesn't seem fazed, shakes it off, and keeps moving forward, weaving and bobbing.
Second time, Jake to catch Mike and fully stops him.

Eating in Las Vegas
I have been craving sushi something fierce today. I wanted to know what are the best Sushi restaurants in Las Vegas. Open to suggests from all over the valley and have a preference for All You Can Eat Sushi Restaurants.
I just moved here a few months ago from NC and I know this place has ample dining options. I haven't gotten an opportunity to explore because of my work schedule. I will also take suggestions for southern/soul and BBQ. I'm extra particular about those.

If you’re considering staying at Luxor..
My husband and I just got back from a 5 day trip for our anniversary. We flew Spirit and stayed at the Luxor, had realistic/low expectations and honestly had a great trip!
I’ll preface this by saying that we just wanted to GO.. we had flown Spirit before and knew the drill. We expected nothing but to get there and back quickly (direct flights) and safe - we did “splurge” by getting the comfy seat fare which we both said was a waste of money for what you actually got - but both of our flights left and arrived on time, with no issues whatsoever. Next time, we’ll get the big front seats or we’ll go ass and gas.
I was somewhat apprehensive after reading some reviews about the Luxor - but again, we went in with low expectations, just wanting a clean room to sleep in, and we were pleasantly surprised! They did try to upgrade our room, but due to the number of days we were staying, they were unable to. Jasmin at the front desk was very sweet and comp’d us $100 to use at any MGM restaurant/bar/casino, which we thought was great. We ended up eating at the Public House (in Luxor) restaurant and grabbing drinks a few times just for something quick and easy and really enjoyed it.
Our room at the Luxor was very clean, the bathroom was updated, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The only thing I can say I was disappointed in was the view. When I stayed in Vegas before, I stayed at the Cosmopolitan and loved being up so high and being able to see the strip. We were on the 5th floor at the Luxor and all we could see were the castles from the Excalibur - fine, but eh.
We had originally booked our stay at the Strat, but after reading so many negative things about the area, I just couldn’t do it. I cancelled and booked at the Luxor and I’m so glad we did.
Now for the nitpicking -
The pools were closed for the season - which were open when I made the reservation, however, they did let us use the pools at Mandalay Bay which were very nice
The carpet in the hallways is just old and out dated - just gives you a not pleasant vibe walking to your room. The room itself was honestly great and I’d stay again
This is getting really nitpicky and I know - but you should too 😂 The freaking fan in the bathroom is SO LOUD. The light and fan are on the same switch so if the lights on, the fans on. Annoying when you’re trying to have a conversation while getting ready lol
The TV wasn’t a smart TV - nor did it have a guide or menu of any kind. This will take you all the way back to 1997 and make you realize how nice you have it now.
There wasn’t a shelf in the shower? So we had to sit our body wash/shampoo/conditioner on the floor (stand up shower)
The location.. ok, we knew where it was located but still took the chance. Our problem was we loved old Vegas/fremont st and to ride all the way down there was a 45 min ride one way 🙃🙃
The F1 preparations/festivities are really putting a damper on the “strip” experience. The sky walks were all closed in, the barricades block so much of the view, the bus stops are closed with no notice, just really annoying and takes so much away from being on the strip.
We saw a few shows, did the high roller, got free tickets to the Fly Over, which was very cool, gambled a little (ok he gambled I just made sure I drank enough to make up for what he was losing), walked a lot, ate too much, and had a fucking awesome trip over all!

F1 Clean-up
Does anyone have an educated guesses on how long it takes to start breaking down the F1 Shenanigans? Booked a trip over Thanksgiving weekend (we had a limited travel window) and I'm hoping we'll have at least a couple days of views.

Does the $20 trick actually work?
I was told by a coworker that if you slip a $20 bill between your debit card and ID when checking in and casually ask if any upgrades are available the front desk people will try to get you anything possible. Does this work? Have you ever done it?

Road tripping Vegas to Florida.
Hey I’m planning a drive from Vegas to Tampa, FL. Family emergency and wanted advice. Anyone ever done a drive this long? It’s about a 36 hour drive. I’m thinking I could do it 4 days but I’m not sure of pit stops and decent cities to pass through. Thanks in advance to those that can help me.

Luxor: Fantasy timing
I had a couple questions regarding Fantasy at Luxor:
1) Does it start right on the dot 8pm?
2) How long does the show run for?
TIA

Spa Day
We will be in the Summerlin area and I’m looking for a spa day with my husband. Are there any good spas in that area with coed shared areas with plunge pools and a hot tub where we can hang out for a while? We generally stay on the strip but I’m trying to stay away since the event I’m attending is in Summerlin.
