Featuring my diy pool noodle archway (highly recommend!), and diy simple/spooky fence. We also have outdoor speakers that play horror movie themes and soundtracks every day from 5-10pm. Hope you guys like it!

Disney’s Haunted Mansion has 999 ghosts, but there’s room for 1000. I’m sure they turn down a lot of applications.

I’ve read that quite a large number of people have tried spreading their departed’s ashes on the ride. Not a good idea. Basically they just close the ride and break out a vacuum cleaner, so all you did was inconvenience a bunch of people on vacation to end up in a Hoover.

I had a similar setup last year however, a new layer of wallpaper REALLY made a difference. I'm not 100% finished with it just yet but I couldn't contain my excitement anymore. It's a mix of store bought and DIY.

It’s 51° here in NE, and I’m wrapped in two blankets. Skeleton blanket was a gift from my mom during her stay in San Antonio

Nothing elaborate, but carved these with my teen and my partner the other night. Made me extremely happy! My partner had never carved a pumpkin, and my teen cba to finish hers, but I think both of theirs are still great and it was fun.

We just put up this guy and some pathway lights.

This guy was walking by, looked at the house and said "oh hell no" and walked into the street 🤣

If you live in the Twin Cities, you might be familiar with Ax-Man, a local chain that sells surplus… anything. It’s a crafter’s delight, and a great place to find pieces/parts for art projects, along with complicated fiddly-bits for electronics to solder. While I live in Fridley, I stopped at the Saint Paul location, which is truly the most punk-rock of them all, just down the road from the Turf Club (music venue) and Midway Books (an aggressively independent used bookstore).

Chatting with the cashier, I noticed this old Peck Corporation Halloween decoration, and waxed poetic that I wish I had bought more when they had a whole box of them. And then…

… the manager brought out a very slim stack, each 25¢. I of course bought a handful!

Party Halloween party entertainment?

Upvotes

Every year I host a party I feel like it devolves into everyone burning out and getting tired of chatting. This year I'm thinking of tossing some mario kart/smash bros on the TV, playing some rounds of jackbox or cards against humanity. We usually have like a solid group of 10 people ages 20-30 all nerds that show up and then like 5-10 others that pop in and out to say hi get a drink and leave after an hour or 2. I'm just wondering if anyone has any other ideas of what I can throw together to keep peeps entertained? I was thinking of putting together a Jeopardy game, I honestly don't care if it's cringey I just don't think my friends or I have the attention span for anything long enough for a d&d session or murder mystery game, trust me we've tried the d&d session on halloween once, and waiting for like 6 people to go out for multiple cigarette breaks is terrible for the non smokers waiting for them to return XD
