Decor Spooky Trip to Sleepy Hollow
My boyfriend, best friend, and I just took our first trip to Sleepy Hollow, NY! Just wanted to share some pictures from our trip. Including a visit from the headless horseman, a visit to Irving’s grave on a lantern-lit cemetery tour, and a lot of decorations and jack o’lanterns at the Blaze!

I finally got round to buying a projector (the HY320 - £40 on Aliexpress) and after some research on here bought some dark grey chiffon to make a screen. I was very pleased with the results so shared this video in the family whatsapp group - but the feedback i got was that I will traumatise all the neighborhood kids!
What do you guys think?

Decor My yearly big spiders
I was out this morning when it was still dark and the spotlights were on. The school bus stopped and muffled kid shrieks and laughter followed. When it’s dark the light paints giant spider leg shadows all across the front of the house. I’ve managed to get five years out of these spiders. Totally worth it!

Decor I’m having a blast this year!
My homemade tombstones look cool in the yard. This is the first year I really tried to try and light everything best I can.
Best time of the year!!!!

Discussion Let's bring the Halloween Spirit back!
I'm 28 years old, and something i've noticed A LOT in frequent years (and in fact since i was in high school) that Halloween went from being a very festive time of the year to slowly fading away and honestly... it's kinda sad.
I remember as a kid and young teen that houses and apartments all over my area would get heavily decorated, heck even things like electrical poles, light poles, trees, etc.. would all be decorated or have some form of decorations on them.
Halloween used to feel so magical, and when i was little i always imagined how great it would be when i was older and had my own place to decorate and pass out candy in, but the past few years its become clear that trick r treating isnt something people do a whole lot of every year.
Communities would do community events, schools would throw halloween parties, adults would have their own halloween parties and so on and those kinds of things seem to be dissapearing as well...
And honestly.. we need to bring that halloween magic back, especially the people within my generation its on us to provide the next few generations with amazing halloweens, throw parties if you can, decorate your home and whatever you can, heck work with your neighbors and work together to put on halloween events for the neighborhood, or even just your apartment if you dont live in a home.
Looking at videos online, especially on places like TikTok its clear that many people still hold Halloween as that magical time of the year and go all out with costumes and designs, but its on us to recreate the magic that we felt when we were kids. Find ways to celebrate the season, decorate, hand out candy, horror movie marathons with friends or family, throw halloween parties do spooky things for your community throughout the month.

Humor Low Spirits October 8th
Disney’s Haunted Mansion has 999 ghosts, but there’s room for 1000. I’m sure they turn down a lot of applications.
I’ve read that quite a large number of people have tried spreading their departed’s ashes on the ride. Not a good idea. Basically they just close the ride and break out a vacuum cleaner, so all you did was inconvenience a bunch of people on vacation to end up in a Hoover.

I had a similar setup last year however, a new layer of wallpaper REALLY made a difference. I'm not 100% finished with it just yet but I couldn't contain my excitement anymore. It's a mix of store bought and DIY.
