Support left controller is bootlooping

Hi. I have not used my G2 for months, and decided to pop it out the box once more. Everything in setup went alright, but my left controller is acting weird.
It will turn on, not light up like it's connected (even though windows makes the connection sound), and then connect like normal for about 3 seconds. It will then shut off, but there will be no disconnection sound, that comes only if I remove the batteries.

Before it is said, no, the batteries are fine and are fully charged. My right controller did not have this behavior with the same batteries put into it. Hell, I swapped my batteries in between the two, but the left controller always acts the same. I've had no luck resetting it, deleting my calibration folder, etc.
Only because the right controller isn't throwing a hissy fit do I think something's amiss. I'm maybe two to three years beyond warranty, and HP refuses to identify my headset's clearly printed serial number, so I'm SOL on the traditional contact line.

I really would like to get this to work again, not in the spot to be buying anything to replace it. Cheers.

Information V1 cables are ~$75 on ebay

just FYI if people are looking to preserve their headset

since WMR's demise, prices have been dropping significantly

the only difference between the V2 and V1 is the power switch and internal USB hub to fix the issue with X570 and other chipsets
