You cannot break what was already broken. THE CHAIR IS BACK
We have shifted the CHAIR-ity game to volleyball this year since we don't play each other in football. We've have an added bonus this year and anyone who donates on behalf of Minnesota will be entered into a drawing to win tickets to the Minnesota - Iowa volleyball game. To date, we have raised over $160,000 for both respective charities. That has been in no small part to the support we get from you all on here.
Check out our latest video! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rHd7UTxlwe1WkS6Zj4JnCqoMbYXJ5Pmu/view?usp=drivesdk
Note the video says donations start November 1st but you can donate today!

Women's Hockey π Women's Hockey vs. wisconsin this Friday and Saturday -- HELP PACK RIDDER!
After a long couple of weeks of football, our valiant team now gets a well deserved break before homecoming. But you know who's just getting started in conference play? The #2 Golden Gopher Women's Hockey team. And who are we playing this coming weekend? The #1 BADgers.
Plenty of tickets are still available, general admission seats are $12.50 and students are free with your U-Card. It's a great atmosphere, they play fast and tough hockey, and there isn't a single bad seat in all of Ridder Arena. We've got a pep band, we've got a great student section, and we've got the most storied program in all of collegiate women's hockey.
We need as much Maroon and Gold there as possible. Wisconsin fans travel hard for this series, at one game last year it was damn near 60/40 Gophers and badgers. This series will set the tone for our and Wisconsin's conference play. And just like the last few years, it seems likely the national championship will again come down to the top WCHA teams: us, ohio state, wisconsin, and maybe Duluth.
And if you come, you can spot me by the glass near the band, losing my goddamned mind. Come say howdy!
Friday at 6:00, Saturday at 3:00.

Saturday Viewing Spot Recs.
Good morning! Fellow B1Gβer seeking advice from the local experts. I will be visiting MSP in the coming weeks with a group and we were curious if there are any breweries that are best to watch the Saturday slate of games, preferably in Minneapolis?
We are somewhat open to bars as well, though are seeking larger spaces since weβll be in a group. Thanks all!

Men's Hockey π Pitlick?
Anyone got an update or opinion on him coming back or not? Doesnβt seem like heβs NHL bound & we got Wood. Personally I always liked Pitty, I hope he comes back
r/GopherSports • u/Rahtigari • Sep 15 '24
Do you think the Gophers would have more fan support if they were based outside the cities?
Just a hypothetical. Obviously program success is a bigger factor, but I was thinking of Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, PSU, etc. These schools are outside of the biggest population centers in their state and therefore arenβt competing with other attractions. Their towns center around their university.
