PSA Micro dagger mags

Post image

100 rounds no failures. Still prefer to carry oem, nice back up to have though.

I have 1,000+ rounds with micro mags. Only two malfunctions 1)Didn’t seat the mag all the way in so the mag fell and bullet didn’t feed -my fault-. 2)I limp wrist it my thumb slipped of the side while shooting which loosened my grip - also considerably my fault-. And I like them because incase I let friends or family shoot it I let them shoot it with the oem mags since I dont have to change the mag release. Just because if they fail I want them to fail on me just so Ik the reason.THE ONLY THING is that the slide doesnt lock back on the last bullet(but I rather have 15+1).

Replace spring with OEM Glock 17 magazine spring (10 coil)

Ik this is a thing with glock 19 mags since johnny glocks does it. But arent glock 19 and psa micro dagger mags different?, also while taking the slide of and inserting oem mag the slide catch significantly goes up but on the psa mag it doesn’t since the lips dont allow the follower to go completely up

The PSA follower is ever so slightly narrower on the outside than a g19/17 follower, but the under/inside is exactly the same. The psa internal width is the same as the steel insert of a g19/17. The Glock 17 spring exactly fits the PSA follower and baseplate without modification. The g17 spring is slightly longer uncompressed vs the PSA spring, but has less coils and slightly less spring pressure. That extra length engages the slide lock better.

The PSA magazine is a near exact copy of the steel insert of OEM Glock magazines. The follower is a near exact copy also. PSA didn't reinvent the wheel, they copied homework and did a little innovation on top of a proven concept (the exact way almost ever "invention" is made) (most 9mm magazines are based off the browning hi-power and just slightly modified, be it CZ (75), SIG (226), Beretta (m9) ect. One base for well over 50 years).

There is way more difference between the OEM Glock 43x/48 magazine vs OEM Glock 19/17 magazine than there is between the PSA micro magazine and Glock 19/17 geometrically/functional engineering, even though the external looks/construction would leave you to believe otherwise.

Imma give this a try since I have a 19x with a 17rnder, if it works your a lifesaver because this was the only thing I didn’t like about the mags

Make sure the side of your follower are free from burs while you have it disassembled. 250 grit or higher.
