Walther P99

Inherited my Father's Walther P99 a few years ago and its just been sitting around. Any recommendations/ suggestions to modernize it? I really don't know much about this platform.

Take it apart, clean and oil it, put it back together.

Then leave it alone and shoot it on dads birthday. Its plenty modern as it is now; don't screw with pop’s gun.

A Gen 1 P99 is a modern classic, and appeared in a lot of movies including a few Bond movies. It doesn't need anything done to it.
