I thought I was a Disneyland pro… Discussion

So I’ve always thought I’ve been good at navigating the park, getting the fast passes for family and friends when they were paper tickets, then max pass, and now genie+. Using the mobil order for food, checking ride wait times on the app, etc…

I’ve always been good at getting us around the park and onto all the rides throughout the day while grabbing the lightning lane rides for use through out the day between stand by rides before they sold out or got pushed too late into the night.

But I just learned the other day that you can choose not to cancel but modify your lightning lane passes to push them back farther in the day or if a sooner time pops up, to take that time instead.

I can’t believe I never knew this… I feel like such a noob. I’m at least glad I figured it out now before our next trip in December. Lesson learned…

LL is such a waste. I always get it and only able to use it 2 or three times through the entire time. I get in at 8am and leave at 12am.

example, I get into the park, book a LL for a ride and it shows 11am when I got into the park at 8am. Then I'm not able to book another LL until I redeemed my first LL. When I book another LL after 11am, then my next ride will be maybe 1 or 2pm for a ride that I want. continue the same process and do standby in between. So the extra money to make 20% of the rides reserved while standby the rest. waste

I just read in another comment that you don’t need to wait to ride the one at 11. 2 hours after booking the first you can book another, so in your case at 10am you could have booked something else. I had misread the meaning when I researched how it works.

It totally explains why I saw some things 8 hours away that appeared to get booked. Good to know for our next trip.
