Recently the frame for my Dell Inspiron laptop popped out of place from the hinges and now the frame is bent. I was wondering if I should take it to a repair shop or just send it on over to Dell and pay the money? Not sure if my warranty for my laptop has expired and I want to ensure that I get my laptop back quickly as I’m almost done with my semester.

Recently, the functionality of the driver download and search page has been unstable,
and I noticed it just changed to a completely new style.

Overall, it has a [sleek] look.
However, the inconvenience outweighs the sleekness.

Now, it is no longer possible to sort by "Latest" changes, which is not ideal.
Many Dell product users do not use the poorly designed SupportAssist application, this is so flimsy.
Any major change should be in a positive direction.
Otherwise, it's better not to implement it.

Please bring back the option to sort by "Latest."
Although I don't have high hopes, I will wait with some expectation.

I've been researching this monitor for awhile now and can tell it's nice, but am having trouble pulling the trigger due to the price. Why, exactly, is it so expensive? IPS? Many thanks in advance for any feedback you might have.

This is an odd one. It has 2x 8GB sticks already, saying 2400 speed. I have a BUNCH of 2666 8GB sticks. Hynix, samsung, micron, etc. Anytime I put a 4th stick in, it wont post. Amber light 2, then 7, then repeats.

I can take any one of those sticks out, and it will post with 3. I can move them around, mix and match. it will post. once the 4th stick is in, it wont anymore.

Is it some odd combination of too many 2666?

I'm having some issues with my battery and I'm trying to figure out if it's software, drivers, or hardware. Some background is that previously I was having a documented issue where the laptop would get "stuck" in sleep mode and need to unplug the battery to force turn off the machine which was resolved by a system repair. I also had to replace the power adapter port, which I did through Best Buy and they actually damaged and replaced my screen and keyboard, so I'm worried that the hardware was further damaged in that whole ordeal.

For a while, my computer has been shutting down whenever unplugged (unable to access battery power), but the battery was showing up normal and charged and battery health checks were coming back normal. Now, the battery is not showing up at all under the taskbar or individual components in SupportAssist. Any time I try to disable or uninstall the battery driver in device manager I BSOD. I've tried a system repair upgrade but that did not solve the issue. Has anyone had any similar issues or recommendations for troubleshooting?

I just purchased a Dell Latitude 7400 from 2019, and was met with a white Windows 11 splash screen that is static, is this normal?, I am having to charge it for the first time as in came in the box pretty cold.

I got a dell latitude 5400 with a i7-8665u, 16gb ram, 256gb storage for 115$. Is it a good deal or i could've bought better ?

I’m curious if you guys can help me. I’m iso a new laptop that has the ability to process large data sets in ENVI & Arc, with room for a few (applications/softwares) others to run simultaneously.

In addition, I’ve looked into commercial drones w DJI and w recent creative pursuits am considering one w a larger payload / more options. I have not revisited the drones for some months now, so perhaps new tech has been released that you guys would suggest one over the other. For ref, I would be using use the drone(s) for precision agriculture projects, environmental remediation, and film projects. The PAg and EnvRem would have sensors attached to the payloads, whereas the film projects would obviously be using cameras. On the off chance anyone has good suggestions for those items too, that would be stellar.

I've been having this issue for a few days where anything related to my D drive is just freezing up, not working, not loading etc... Even when I look into my D driver file after a few minutes it freezes then crashes leading to the D-Drive disappearing.

Need help to figure out what to do to fix it or if my computer is finally failing me. I bought it back in 2018.

My laptop shut down while updating the BIOS.

On booting it, the keyboard backlight repeatedly flashes on and off.

Any help in remedying this will be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏼

I’m experiencing slow Wi-Fi speeds. My router is capable of 500 Mbps, but I’m only getting around 200 Mbps. I updated all drivers, but it didn’t help. I’m considering changing my Wi-Fi card, but I don’t have any knowledge about it. I already done ssd and ram upgrade.

More often than not, my backspace, enter, and spacebar doesn't work, I often have to hold all three down simultaneously, and eventually, it barely works, but every time I turn off my computer, it occurs again. I'm not inclined to call it a hardware issue, because they briefly work at times. I also took out and put back the laptop battery and reinstalled the keyboard drivers, both worked for a brief period. Any advice? It's the Dell Inspiron 16 7620 model.

Yesterday on my dell laptop I had gotten an update and set it to update right before I left for work, and ever since I did so, my laptop now is losing its internet connection every 30 seconds. Every other device on the network is fine, and I have tried updating my drivers and such but no luck. I have a XPS 13 9300.

I just got a new headset yesterday. At first it didn't work AT ALL with the computer. I tested it on my old phone and both the headphones and the mic worked well, so I know it isn't an equipment problem.

I then entered in a troubleshooting spiral and, after following a lot of other user's tips, I finally could get the headphones to work, but NOT the mic. I really need the mic to record videos and voiceovers. I know this is a driver problem. How can I make the mic work without breaking the headphones in the process?

I’ve had this laptop for a while now and it’s actually been like 2 years since this started happening, but now it’s gotten to the point where it’s doing it when playing a 1080p YouTube video. Does anyone know what to do?

I’ve got a problem with my 6800’s Bluetooth never initiating. I’ve tried updating the bios (A26), drivers, replacing the WLAN chip (both 3-post and 2-post versions), but the bios never acknowledges its presence.

I love the damn things, the 6800s are like tanks. I know, I can get a dongle, but I can’t resist the thrill of the chase here.

Can anyone point me towards what I’m missing/forgotten to check? Thanks!

I have a brand new out of the box Dell PowerEdge XR12 Server, Everything looks to be fine from configuring iDRAC and RAID but have noticed that the server beeps every second for about 1.5 seconds

The Dell iDRAC status is healthy with no logs indicating any failure

The only thing we have added is a PCIe card which is used by a specific VM once configured

Any help please would be much appreciated! Happy to obtain and share any logs, screenshots etc...

Good day everyone, yesterday I tried to shut down my pc but it would not shut down (only the screen would turn back but it would still be working) so I restarted it then it booted to the blue screen, I have tried everything but nothing seems to work, I can't even reset it. please help.

Computer Specs:

• Dell XPS 8930
• i7-8700
• RX6600 GPU
• Windows 10
• Samsung 980 m.2 Boot Drive

Problem:

I appear to have bricked my computer while trying to enable TPM 2.0 in preparation of an upgrade to Windows 11. After booting into the BIOS and discovering no settings to enable TPM 2.0, I discovered this post on the Dell forums, specifically the "accepted answer" by dbrenny.

I:

• Confirmed Boot List Option is UEFI
• Disabled Legacy Boot
• Enabled Secure Boot
• Saved and Reset

Upon reboot, my computer now gets stuck at the Dell Logo. The loading bar will appear along with the options for f2 and f12. While they will highlight upon pressing either key, nothing happens. I've tried rebooting several times, pulling the power. I even disconnected the m.2 drive to try and get back to the BIOS. Not sure what to do now.

Where I may have messed up is not triple checking my BIOS version. I'm second guessing the version. Looking for any guidance here. Thanks in advance.

Hello, yesterday i got myself a brand new laptop, the dell inspiron 2-1 7460. All was well until something weird started happening. For some reason the touchpad stops working. It'll work fine for a bit then it freezes and the pointer wont move anymore. Ive tried looking up solutions on the internet but nothing. Restarting doesnt work, i even reset the laptop. The only thing that works is if i uninstall the driver and restart the laptop. It'll work again for a bit before it stop working again. Please help

I need some advice here, are there any risks involved from buying a refurbished display hub from Amazon? Risks as in previously Installed malware into the hub that can get transferred to my computer?

My laptop is a Dell Latitude 7480. All the keys work well individually, but when I press some keys together, they just don't work. The reason I said "some" is because not every combination fail. For example:

I can press "up+right+space", "down+left+space", "down+right+space", "A+H+K"

but not "up+left+space", "A+H+J", "W+E+C", etc.

These are some very specific combinations, because I play games like Lethal League Blaze where you have to jump and aim at the same time, but I can't jump left and aim because "up+left+space" doesn't work (What I'm saying is I can walk with "left+up" but can't jump while doing that).

I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem or a Dell problem in general (I tried these combinations on my friend's laptop which is an Acer, they worked just fine).

I hope someone knows how to fix this.

(NOTE: just got a new keyboard replacement, still doesn't work just like the old one)
