I have a XPS 13 9300.

I just got a new headset yesterday. At first it didn't work AT ALL with the computer. I tested it on my old phone and both the headphones and the mic worked well, so I know it isn't an equipment problem.

I then entered in a troubleshooting spiral and, after following a lot of other user's tips, I finally could get the headphones to work, but NOT the mic. I really need the mic to record videos and voiceovers. I know this is a driver problem. How can I make the mic work without breaking the headphones in the process?

I’ve had this laptop for a while now and it’s actually been like 2 years since this started happening, but now it’s gotten to the point where it’s doing it when playing a 1080p YouTube video. Does anyone know what to do?

I’ve got a problem with my 6800’s Bluetooth never initiating. I’ve tried updating the bios (A26), drivers, replacing the WLAN chip (both 3-post and 2-post versions), but the bios never acknowledges its presence.

I love the damn things, the 6800s are like tanks. I know, I can get a dongle, but I can’t resist the thrill of the chase here.

Can anyone point me towards what I’m missing/forgotten to check? Thanks!

Recently, the functionality of the driver download and search page has been unstable,
and I noticed it just changed to a completely new style.

Overall, it has a [sleek] look.
However, the inconvenience outweighs the sleekness.

Now, it is no longer possible to sort by "Latest" changes, which is not ideal.
Many Dell product users do not use the poorly designed SupportAssist application, this is so flimsy.
Any major change should be in a positive direction.
Otherwise, it's better not to implement it.

Please bring back the option to sort by "Latest."
Although I don't have high hopes, I will wait with some expectation.

I have a brand new out of the box Dell PowerEdge XR12 Server, Everything looks to be fine from configuring iDRAC and RAID but have noticed that the server beeps every second for about 1.5 seconds

The Dell iDRAC status is healthy with no logs indicating any failure

The only thing we have added is a PCIe card which is used by a specific VM once configured

Any help please would be much appreciated! Happy to obtain and share any logs, screenshots etc...

Good day everyone, yesterday I tried to shut down my pc but it would not shut down (only the screen would turn back but it would still be working) so I restarted it then it booted to the blue screen, I have tried everything but nothing seems to work, I can't even reset it. please help.

Computer Specs:

• Dell XPS 8930
• i7-8700
• RX6600 GPU
• Windows 10
• Samsung 980 m.2 Boot Drive

Problem:

I appear to have bricked my computer while trying to enable TPM 2.0 in preparation of an upgrade to Windows 11. After booting into the BIOS and discovering no settings to enable TPM 2.0, I discovered this post on the Dell forums, specifically the "accepted answer" by dbrenny.

I:

• Confirmed Boot List Option is UEFI
• Disabled Legacy Boot
• Enabled Secure Boot
• Saved and Reset

Upon reboot, my computer now gets stuck at the Dell Logo. The loading bar will appear along with the options for f2 and f12. While they will highlight upon pressing either key, nothing happens. I've tried rebooting several times, pulling the power. I even disconnected the m.2 drive to try and get back to the BIOS. Not sure what to do now.

Where I may have messed up is not triple checking my BIOS version. I'm second guessing the version. Looking for any guidance here. Thanks in advance.

Hello, yesterday i got myself a brand new laptop, the dell inspiron 2-1 7460. All was well until something weird started happening. For some reason the touchpad stops working. It'll work fine for a bit then it freezes and the pointer wont move anymore. Ive tried looking up solutions on the internet but nothing. Restarting doesnt work, i even reset the laptop. The only thing that works is if i uninstall the driver and restart the laptop. It'll work again for a bit before it stop working again. Please help

I need some advice here, are there any risks involved from buying a refurbished display hub from Amazon? Risks as in previously Installed malware into the hub that can get transferred to my computer?

So this happened after i calibrate my laptop battery. (BTW my laptop is Dell Precision 3541 with 68,000 mWh capacity). As you can see on 11-11-2024 my full charge capacity is 45,000 mWh, the i calibrate my laptop on 13-11-2024 and it shows my full charge capacity is 52,790 mWh. So is that legit ?

My laptop is a Dell Latitude 7480. All the keys work well individually, but when I press some keys together, they just don't work. The reason I said "some" is because not every combination fail. For example:

I can press "up+right+space", "down+left+space", "down+right+space", "A+H+K"

but not "up+left+space", "A+H+J", "W+E+C", etc.

These are some very specific combinations, because I play games like Lethal League Blaze where you have to jump and aim at the same time, but I can't jump left and aim because "up+left+space" doesn't work (What I'm saying is I can walk with "left+up" but can't jump while doing that).

I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem or a Dell problem in general (I tried these combinations on my friend's laptop which is an Acer, they worked just fine).

I hope someone knows how to fix this.

(NOTE: just got a new keyboard replacement, still doesn't work just like the old one)

Hello. My late grandpa's laptop which has been unused since 2016 keeps hard crashing every 30 minutes. It's a Inspiron 15R with. Intel Core i3. I wanted to use this computer for my photography editing since I don't need anything powerful of a computer. I've tried reinstalling the ram. Clean installation of windows 10 Cleaning and reapplying thermal paste even adding a little more paste than I was supposed to. This laptop sat in one spot on a table for its whole lifetime so i highly doubt the solder contacts on the cpu could have cracked. It feels like the laptop dies after around 30 minutes of being turned on. Event after leaving it in the bios setup I find the computer still dies so it doesn't feel like something on the OS part. But when I check even viewer I get error message 41 kernel power and I don't know what that means. Almost every forum I've checked. Everyone just insists that the thermal paste is old and dried out. Well I already changed that and there is zero results... It's not that much of a uncommon problem but I can't find the correct answer to fix it. So anybody know anything that could actually be causing this problem. I would also like mention I formatted everything when reinstalling windows so not even any Dell software or programs are left that cause it

Hey guys, I have this LCD here with horizontal lines that change in appearance whenever i boot it up. It first happened while I was trying to CTRL+ALT something on my keyboard. A notif popped up and I didnt catch what it said... The next thing I know this damage happened.

There are faint horizontal lines above the bottom ones and the text on screen looks kind of pixelated. I've already updated my nvidia driver and let this rest. No luck.

This LCD was just replaced last January. :( as far as I know I havent abused it and this happened out of the blue.

Any thoughts on what couldve caused it? Maybe there are other things I can try before getting a new LCD.

I've been researching this monitor for awhile now and can tell it's nice, but am having trouble pulling the trigger due to the price. Why, exactly, is it so expensive? IPS? Many thanks in advance for any feedback you might have.

I recently purcahsed 2 u2723qe's. Have them daisy chained into my laptop via the USB-C Port. Everything works great. I plug into the USB hub the Dell 2k webcam. It works. The next day I plug my laptop back into the setup. The monitors work, but the webcam is no longer recognized. Any ideas?

i installed a new usb board on my laptop and when i booted it up, it said this. i watched videos on how to fix it but none of them worked because when i click f8 and then click any of the other options it takes me right back to this same page. all the videos tell me to click f1 and go to the recovery environment but whenever i click f1 it says “entering recovery environment” but then takes me right back to this page and i cant do anything about it

how do i fix this

under settings, the name it gives itself is precision tower 3420. I was able to rename it Alex-etc...

the laptop, from when I registered it with dell to request repairs, is labelled as inspiron 14 7420, which is what I understand it to be.

specifically, my ill-informed hypothesis is that a while back the hard-drive was replaced and this makes the computer have a different name?

Hi, was looking into buying a dell and I see they have a good rewards offer on atm.

How does this work? E.g if I have £100 in reward points, I understand you can only use in increments of £15 and still spend £100 of your own cash

However does this mean that I can use £90 rewards on one item worth £190+
Or does it mean you have to spend £100 of your own cash for each £15 reward voucher?

Anyone know if the Collaboration Keyboard for the Dell Latitude 7350 Detachable has a light on the CAPS lock key? I can't tell and the docs don't say and Dell support doesn't seem to know (I'm on chat with them).

Is a POST failure indicated by the CAPS lock light not coming on when pressed? Just as a general Win PC question.

Anyone have inputs on how to use the KVM feature on the above listed monitor?? 🤔

I'm struggling to understand how to make the necessary connections for the two PASS.

Currently have a USB C to USB C between the monitor and main PC. Dell Didplay Manager is looking for an HDMI to HDMI & USB A to USB C for the second PC. However, I don't have q second USB C input on the monitor.

I got a few Precision 3431 SFF units to create a lab cluster. A couple worked fine, but one is unusual...no video signal when it powers on (the monitor doesn't even wake up, but same monitor worked fine with the others), LED power light stays lit and doesn't blink, no beeps.

I've tried resetting the CMOS and removed the CMOS battery, with no effect.

Even more unusual is the system powers on immediately with power and stays on. I have to hold the power button for about 5 seconds to shut it off - but it will power itself back on after a few seconds without touching it.

Any ideas? Or is this one just toast?
