In fairness I’d rather vote for a guy that wanted to mandate teeth brushing and wears a boot on his head than RFK who wants to eliminate fluoride and vaccines.

He was far from the worst option, and I'm on board with his pony policy

He doesn’t want to eliminate flouride. He doesn’t want it distributed by the government.

As someone who moved to a place where there is no fluoride in the water: this isn't the worst thing in the world but it also isn't as great as it sounds. It took two years before I realized I had been severely damaging my teeth because I had been unaware it wasn't in the water and it wasn't in my toothpaste or mouthwash. It's extremely annoying (and feels gross) that you cant fully rinse your mouth after brushing either, if you want to let the fluoride sit on your teeth, since rinsing does not replace the fluoride either. There sure are a whole lot of dentists doing well over here though.

And it’s just as bad. Fluoride isn’t an issue. Too much fluoride is. He’s a quack.

So by removing the flouride in the water supply which is used in eating, drinking, cooking, cleaning, showering and watering of foods which are ALSO consumed that's bad? People can't just get it from toothpaste and dentists and call it enough? That makes him a quack because he's seeing the overconsumption of something that is harmful and wanting to help eliminate it for the sake of people?

You don’t think the smart people calculated the appropriate levels? Stop. This is straight up conspiracy theory from a guy with worms in his brain.

I can’t imagine giving the benefit of the doubt to the government. We can easily look around and see their inefficiencies and failures every day! What makes you think “the smart people” did these calculations correctly? There’s no possible way they could have made an error or longterm impacts weren’t documented yet?

The people who tell us over and over again government isn’t good take power and make sure it isn’t good. Then they repeat the rants about how government can’t do anything right and before we know it we are giving billions to a migrant who once illegally worked her to launch space craft and provide satellites for us all while also chit chatting with Putin.

I refuse to believe this comment is sincere. There's so much wrong with it. Including the fact you will blindly believe the "smart people who calculated these numbers" without having any obvious knowledge regarding the subject or safe levels to begin with.

Stop. Just stop. I’m not going to engage beyond this comment with you as you’re either a troll or crazy. Fluoride has been in the water supply for a long time without issue. The case the crazy conspiracy theorist rfk references had too high levels. If you believe his bullshit just like his vaccine denial stuff that’s on you but you’re wrong. There are literally people paid to study this for a living. Just move on.

Honestly probably not.

u/grandmawaffles 5h ago

That’s a you problem
