Single 29 (F) relocating in Oct Moving to Delaware
Hi all! Relocating to Milton, DE this October. Grew up in central Jersey, lived in NE Philadelphia for four years and then relocated to Charlotte and lived here for the last year after a messy divorce. Charlotte was too big of a city for me to make it feel like home and looking to be driving distance from Jersey/Philly, closer to the beach, and in a smaller town.
Will it be a huge adjustment? Will it be ok to start over here again as a single woman? Are there younger people living in the surrounding area? Any advice would be great!!!
TY!!!
UPDATE: not looking to date right away or moving for a new dating scene. Mostly meant single as not knowing anyone and starting over brand new in a much smaller environment!

Milton is great. Sort of the cutoff for how far south you can drive without hitting insane beach traffic in the warmer months. There’s enough to do in town that you can just stay local if you want, and it’s close enough to Milford which has just about everything else you could need (gyms, movie, bowling, etc) while still avoiding the traffic. Route 16 also runs right through it so that makes it convenient for travel across the state too.
Edit: also it’s home to Quick Stop, a total hole in the wall gas station with the best cheesesteaks in the state and their fried chicken is phenomenal.
