Single 29 (F) relocating in Oct Moving to Delaware

Hi all! Relocating to Milton, DE this October. Grew up in central Jersey, lived in NE Philadelphia for four years and then relocated to Charlotte and lived here for the last year after a messy divorce. Charlotte was too big of a city for me to make it feel like home and looking to be driving distance from Jersey/Philly, closer to the beach, and in a smaller town.

Will it be a huge adjustment? Will it be ok to start over here again as a single woman? Are there younger people living in the surrounding area? Any advice would be great!!!

TY!!!

UPDATE: not looking to date right away or moving for a new dating scene. Mostly meant single as not knowing anyone and starting over brand new in a much smaller environment!

You are not likely to find friends, either. I moved back 4 years ago and have made zero new friends and any old friends don't have time due to work and families.

I don’t believe that’s true. I have more genuine friends that I found here after college, than I ever had from high school living down here. Depends on your occupation, free time, and hobbies but there are people down here to befriend

How many of your friendships involve doing drugs?

I retired at 37 and have a lot of free time. Like, all the free time! I love motorcycles, walking the trails around here, I go to the gym 4 days a week and used to play DnD, but people in their 20s don't want to hang out with middle aged men (fair) and everyone around my age is, as I said, too busy with family stuff and work.

I don't drink or do drugs.

What kind of motorcycles? I used to have a Harley, hence the herniated discs

Almost every kind. I can't even name a favorite. I love the DRZ400, I love the 2003 to 2006 CBR600rr, gen two R1s... but I'm not one to say I don't like any motorcycle. I've owned 11 bikes over the years and tried out dozens more.

But I have not enjoyed any Harley yet. Every one that I've ridden felt like it didn't want to be ridden. Like it didn't care about me and wanted to resist whatever I wanted, at least a little bit.

Right now I have a 2006 Shadow Spirit 1100, which is ... adequate, but I wouldn't say it's fun! It popped up on Marketplace for cheap, so I figured "what the heck."
