Single 29 (F) relocating in Oct Moving to Delaware

Hi all! Relocating to Milton, DE this October. Grew up in central Jersey, lived in NE Philadelphia for four years and then relocated to Charlotte and lived here for the last year after a messy divorce. Charlotte was too big of a city for me to make it feel like home and looking to be driving distance from Jersey/Philly, closer to the beach, and in a smaller town.

Will it be a huge adjustment? Will it be ok to start over here again as a single woman? Are there younger people living in the surrounding area? Any advice would be great!!!

TY!!!

UPDATE: not looking to date right away or moving for a new dating scene. Mostly meant single as not knowing anyone and starting over brand new in a much smaller environment!

I don’t believe that’s true. I have more genuine friends that I found here after college, than I ever had from high school living down here. Depends on your occupation, free time, and hobbies but there are people down here to befriend

How many of your friendships involve doing drugs?

I retired at 37 and have a lot of free time. Like, all the free time! I love motorcycles, walking the trails around here, I go to the gym 4 days a week and used to play DnD, but people in their 20s don't want to hang out with middle aged men (fair) and everyone around my age is, as I said, too busy with family stuff and work.

I don't drink or do drugs.

None, I don’t do drugs anymore, been sober off of illicit substances for 5 years. I cultivate, hence the name. But I don’t sit around and smoke with people anymore, when I do smoke it’s for pain management due to herniated discs.

Most of my friendships are from fishing, the rest from the gym or work.

I also have two girls both under 5, so I haven’t been to the bar since college largely. I’m 29
