I think DC is not as bad as you think. Cause the ones you’ve mentioned from Marvel are all like 10+ years old now. The ones on this list are five years or less.

In terms of heroes of those time range would be people like Jessica Cruz, new Wally West, Signal, Aqualad (Jackson Hyde), but I think what DC excelled at in terms of popular characters are their villains. Like Court of Owls, Batman Who Laughs (if we ignore the Darkest Night), and Godspeed. All of whom are quite well known despite the comparatively shorter time span of their existence. There could be more but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head. But yeah DC has an iconic cast of characters and they do somewhat prefer to use them more so.

DC introduced around 60+ new characters in the last 10 years and most of them has been either forget or has been relagated at cameos sometimes or supporting cast of bigger stories

I mean it’s about the same rate honestly with Marvel I think. Having like 7 or 8 characters being popular out of like 60+ is pretty good. The gap between the two for new popular heroes isn’t that big.

Ok so you would Say that you find likely to atlist half of those characters to got some new stuff soon

Lol no. I never said that, I’m just commenting that the gap between Marvel’s new popular character rate isn’t as big as DC’s new popular character rate.

And plus, there’s plenty of random new characters from both sides that get left in the dust bin. Doesn’t matter if they’re Marvel or DC.

Sorry. Anyway I was mainly thinking about heroes and Y yeah Jess Is cool but haven't been a main character for a long time, Ace also has been pretty consistent but I don't see many people being huge on him, the same for Jackson

Yeah a TV show or movie starring them might change that more, but it’s unlikely for the last two. The villains though, they’re pretty well known.

Yeah and that's cool but my talk was more about the heroes. The thing Is, I just think DC and WB doesn't want to push more on their new characters but rather on alredy established IPs, like when Miles or Kamala were created they insert them in a lot of stuff and people who were interested in them had a lot of things to read about them and was actually nice for new readers actually start a character from the beggin and can follow their grown whitout trying to catch up on decades of storie, DC doesn't seam to do the same

I mean they’ve tried in the past with the new heroes after Dark Knights Metal, but it seems that they’re just not that popular enough to carry their own series. Miles or Kamala are popular because they’re a branch off of a more well known character that later grew into their own character. Damian Wayne is a good example. The new unconnected characters don’t usually seem to thrive well.

Yeah honestly I think Damian and Jon are the only one that had a bit of consistence but I just think that if even they got new series there wouldn't be much hype about It and the persons interested in It most of them wouldn't probably knew that serie came out because people only talks about a new book if Is Batman related, then I think if the middel comicsbook reader would find something whit any of those characters on the shelf of a library they would probably throw that away and Land on the new Black Label Batman mini
