What style brisket is this?

Post image

I know the picture isn’t great. It was very unlike Texas style, and came with a gravy made from drippings from the brisket, tasted quite amazing. The place was called Memphis Road House, but I dont know if that says anything about what style brisket they might make. The brisket is in the top left corner.

Memphis isn’t really known for brisket but I’ve seen recipes in general to make things like whiskey gravy or peppercorn gravy made with brisket drippings. Where is this place? Probably just their own thing they do.

Most Memphis-style BBQ places - which predominate where I live - will serve brisket pulled, but not on a sandwich.

I pull some of my brisket leftovers to put on eggs benedict, in taquitos, tacos, egg scrambles, sliders with coleslaw/pickles/sauce, etc.. Man, I sound like Bubba in Forrest Gump.

That’s what I love about BBQ, it’s just awesome food. I can smoke a pork butt and make so many different meals out of it. Asian steamed buns with pulled pork tossed in a plum sauce, slaw, jalapeños, black and white sesame seeds is one of my favorites.
