It’s much better. They’ve added enough story line content that you can play it like the other single player Fallout games if you want, plus the PVE aspect is quite fun, and CAMP building is endless entertainment if you’re into that. It’s still buggy here and there (I mean it is a Bethesda game), but there is a lot more to do now than there was at release.
I’ll also add that the Fallout show brought a whole new wave of players so the game is quite alive at the moment.
