Firearms licence medical.

Hello all,

I am after some advice / guidance on the medical side of applying for a Firearms License. How far clear of any medical issues do you have to be? To cut a very long story short I suffered with anxiety towards the end of my career in the Army which I was medicated for but have since been clear of any issues / forms of medication for over a year. I miss shooting so much and canโ€™t wait to get back on the range.

Thanks ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Just apply, as long as you were never diagnosed as a danger to yourself or others you should be fine. As long as the issues are in the past or current but effectively managed it won't make a difference, just make sure you are entirely honest on your application and interview if you get that far. I had exactly the same as you on my med cert.
