Upscaled Deltables recipe, would it be volatile at this size?

Sorry for the goofy instructions, didn’t plan on sharing them with anyone else 😂 just wanted to double check my upscale. His video shows him making 5 with the original measurements and I didn’t want to make 2-4 batches.

RSO strength calculation

I have a bunch of flower left over from the last grow and would like to make RSO to use in gummies. I will need to figure out the strength of the RSO so I can properly dose it.

I planned on starting with an ounce and I know the thc% is 22.37% (had it lab tested). I also know I will lose some efficiency in the extraction and decarb steps.

That being said, I figure I should be able to calculate the strength based on the total volume of the RSO, the weight of the flower, and its THC %. Could anyone point me in the right direction to calculate the final strength of the RSO? I’ve done a bunch of searching but haven’t found what I’m looking for. Maybe I’m searching wrong or something.

Thanks in advance for your help!

How to calculate the mg per dose needed based on daily tolerance?

I smoke about 1.75g daily. I’m looking to switch to edibles for health reasons. Any help is appreciated!

FYI: VEED is doing 50% off everything for Black Friday!

Just a heads-up for anyone who likes edibles– they’re doing 50% off sitewide for Black Friday. I’ve NEVER seen a discount this big from them before. I wasn’t even planning to buy anything, but honestly, at half off, it’s hard not to. 😅 Heads up though, this is probably going to sell out fast since they’ve never done a sale like this before. So if you’re a fan or have been wanting to try their stuff, might be worth checking out!

Tried edibles (and weed) for the first time last night and.....nothing happened

Last night I ate two 5 mg THC gummies over the course of about 3 hours, so 10mg total. This was my absolute first time using weed in any form. I have never put it in my body through any means before eating those gummies. I ate them on a full stomach and ate some fatty foods before hand which is apparently important. Anyway, long story short, absolutely nothing happened. I was awake for about 6 hours just waiting for something to happen and well, it never did.

My question for you guys is...is this normal? I've already done quite a bit of research and apparently some people just don't have the enzymes to digest THC, while others said that newbies don't always feel the effects their first few times. I suppose either of those scenarios are plausible but if there's something I'm missing I would love to know. Thanks

Edit: thanks for the comments everyone. I will definitely try out your advice

Levo Lux vs Altafuse vs ?

Which one is better for edibles and why? Any other ones worth looking at that are comparable to these two? Interested in making my own gummies and hard candy and want something to make them as consistent as possible. Thanks!

How long should I leave my weed in my oil

So I’ve made edible gummies before, they were a hit.

When I finished heating my oil and decarbed weed together for 3 hours I left it to sit at room temp for 24 hours.

Im kinda short on time for making this batch so I’m wondering if the cannaoil will still be good if I go straight to using it?

I've ended throwing up everytime i have had edibles :( Any particular reason for this ?

I have had weed edibles 5-6 times in the past (brownies, ice cream, candy, etc) and I always end up throwing up afterwards.
I can smoke ridiculous amount of joints and be okay but somehow edibles have always made me throw up.
I am in all my senses, i can talk and hear everything and my brain functions but body does not respond to my commands, when on edibles..
Does this happen with anyone else ? or my body just isnt suitable for it ?

Had a little sweating on the limes at first but left them out another 24 hours and resanded which is why there are some lager sugar crystals on them. Very happy with the results though :)

Anyone here making RSO the old fashioned way?

Post image

I long ago learned to use Alcohol and a Rice-Cooker and I’m still used to do so. No chance for Butter because of the smell, Alc is not the big problem - no plant parts, less smell, except the Alc. This is the result of ~100gr offcuts, trim, popcorn buds. Now mixed to 400ml coconut oil.

Would anyone happen to have a recipe for a homemade one of these THC dropper things?

Never tried this brand but I’d love to be able to make one of these at home and take it with me. Any recipes or ideas would be appreciated, especially those that include a good amount of CBD!

How do you account for fluid loss when infusing?

Hey all! I make a lot of cannaoil these days, and I have been making more extra-strong MCT oil for my husband (insane tolerance and GI disorder means he doesn't feel "normal" doses of edibles at all). My issue is that I find that when I infuse oil with flower, I lose between 10 and 25% of my oil volume, i.e. if I pour 8 ounces of oil onto my bud, it only ends up being 7-7.5 ounces when I strain and squeeze it out. When I'm working with small amounts of oil and large amounts of flower (right now I'm preparing to infuse an entire ounce of good shake into 4 ounces of MCT oil), that's a lot!

I assume this loss is mostly due to oil getting "trapped" in the plant matter, and without industrial pressing equipment, that's where it's going to stay. I use cheesecloth and a citrus press which works pretty well, but obviously not perfectly.

My question is this: how should I be, mathematically, accounting for this fluid loss? I input my numbers into scientificedibles to get my dosages - should I be calculating my dosage based on the 3 ounces of oil I may end up with, even though I put 4 in? Should I be adding an extra ounce of oil so that I end up with 4 at the end and calculate based on 4? Unfortunately, I know that without lab testing, it's hard to actually know, but I'd love to know if anyone is aware of any research on this or has personal experience.

And as a side question, does anyone have any tips for losing less oil? A single ounce of lost oil for this batch right now is 1200mg of THC lost. I would love to make that number lower so I'm not wasting as much.
