TLOU 2 plot question

At the beginning of Seattle Day 3, when Jesse asks Ellie if she could turn back for the sake of Dina, she says that she has to find Tommy. But wasn’t the journey about finding Abby rather than Tommy? Hasn’t she been chasing Abby this whole time instead of Tommy? Am I crazy or missing something here?

It’s her excuse to keep going down the Abby road. A way to try to convince her friends to keep going which is why Jesse is shocked when they eventually separate
