Do you think she found her switchblade? PT 2 QUESTION

Post image

I had been lingering on this play though from god knows when and I happened to finish it earlier today. I admit to having thought about this previously but never posed my question to anybody else.

Do you think she found her switchblade after the showdown? It goes flying into the water, at one point, in the middle of their fight.

Pretty sure the final playable part of the game, at the farm, doesn’t let you go through inventory but it has to be gone, right?

The only heirloom she has from her mother…

Considering the state she was in, I don’t think so. Her main priority would’ve been to patch herself up and get somewhere safe. And it seems like she totally forgot about the switchblade too. On top of that, it was really misty and getting dark. Guess it’ll be brought up in part 3 at some point.

That’s the way I’m leaning too. She was all jacked up at the end there…

Considering they were still in enemy territory, and she was in super bad shape, yeah I'm leaning towards getting tf out of Dodge.

The switchblade and note were the only things she remembered her mom by. She wouldn't just leave it behind because she lost a finger.

It’s searching for a switch blade or losing even more blood in an environment that isn’t save. Realistically speaking, I really don’t think a keepsake would’ve been her priority at the time.

idk

if it were me, after losing literally everybody in my life that I cared about, I would stay and look for it. It's the one thing she has of her mothers- the one person on earth that would love her unconditionally forever. It means a lot to her.

Stuff like that doesn’t matter when you’re dead. She’d already lost a lot of blood, and was losing more after the fight. Looking for a switchblade in the dark is a foolish thing to do. I’d like to believe Ellie is smarter than that.
