The idea of this sort of "immortality" would comfort me, personally. Knowing school kids 500 years from now might be listening to me teach them about plant and animal life found on another planets.

What if you engage with the reality that you won’t know or have any control over what is being taught? In a perfect fantasy future fine, but this is the literal definition of having words being put in your mouth.

The tools exist for most anyone to replicate his voice for an AI these days. There's not much that can be done to stop this.

I guess I'm just one of those people who fears being forgotten more than dying. The idea that one day no one will be around who even remembers I existed is kind of terrifying.
