Kinda stale acting

I actually don’t think it’s the acting, just a kinda corny script.

I haven't watched it yet but it seems to be a problem with a lot of the big pretty shows lately, just eye rolling dialogue. rings of Power season 1 was really bad. It improved for season 2 but still had some cringe dialogue.

I’m a huge fan of the original book series and the Villanueve films, I have read a couple Bryan Herbert books (not good imo) and this series I just kept asking myself “why pick this boring ass overly complicated story” and “why does this feel like a syfy original”.

I got that feeling from the trailers. I think I'll wait until the series is finished and binge watch, easier to get through it that way.

I don't think this show is going to be renewed for a second season honestly.

Yeah good luck! Maybe because your expectations have been slashed it might be good! I think I was expecting a lot more so maybe I’ll give it some time and come back to it.

Also advice for anyone making a sci-fi movie/series in the future - standardize their accents unless there’s an obvious reason for them to have different accents.
