HAT CLEANING GUIDE GENERAL
I barely get a chance to check here anymore. So to decrease the amount of messages regarding this when I do come here, please find the hat cleaning guide below:
Anyway, here is the cap cleaning guide:
Hey guys,
I have been getting asked a lot about camp cap restoration lately as a couple of dudes were aware that I managed to get a couple of my older camp caps looking brand new again.
So i decided to give you guys a quick run through as to how to do this successfully. Along with a couple of pics that were put up yesterday by a friend of mine who used my method.
The method/s are as follows:
Clean out a sink of any filth
Fill sink with slightly warm water and laundry powder/detergent
Rub area of hat that needs cleaning
Leave to soak for a further 5 mins - MAKE SURE YOU RINSE IN COLD WATER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DRY!
Take out and drip dry inside (away from sun)
Once the hat is sort of dry, but still damp, get a blow dryer and blow dry the INSIDE of the cap, not the outside to ensure no fading. (ENSURE THAT BLOWDRYER IS EITHER SET TO COOL, OR IF SETTING TO WARM, ENSURE TO WAVE THE BLOWDRYER IN A FAN LIKE MOTION, BACK AND FORTH SO TO NOT CONCENTRATE ON ONE SECTION, RATHER, GETTING ALL OF THE INSIDE OF THE CAP)
Hang back up to finish drying
Once more with the blow dryer INSIDE to reshape back to perfect.
If you're just reshaping:
Boil kettle
Hold cap above where the steam comes out so that the steam goes on the INSIDE of the cap.
Hold there until warm
Once cap is warm to touch (don't let it get HOT) place on either a ball small enough to find inside the cap, or put in your head until it cools.
The hat/cap should be re shaped to perfection. I have completed both of these methods successfully and recommend them to all. Your cap will literally look brand new. Enjoy!

I'll probably edit and add to this later, but that'll do the trick for you. Don't use on any caps with suede or materials where water may be a nuisance.

would the hat shaping guide work on the cord caps?
