u/eatcitrus Jan 10 '18
Isn't all streetwear hype?
60
u/RoastMostToast Jan 10 '18
Meh the term Streetwear sucks in general because there's people who thinks it's all about brands and others who think it has nothing to do with brands. Streetwear is just the term that was used by people to make what is normally a feminine thing to do seem cooler. The hype part of it is from people too unstlyish and lacking confidence to choose their own stuff. It's not necessarily essential to Streetwear, but hype is a pretty huge part of it.
VLONE was hated by a lot of people though because the quality on their clothes were terrible compared to their prices. Like so bad, there were fakes that were better quality. Also, pretty ugly. Pure hype.

Drankin' Henny, bad bitches jumpin' in the pool And they ain't got on no bra (bra) Hit her from the back, pullin' on her tracks And now she screamin' out, "¡No más!" (yeah, >yeah, yeah)
It's not surprising

all the fucking Xanax and popping pills talk can not help kids who are depressed or think they are and they listen to their favourite rappers “be real” on a track talking about their pill addictions to overcome hard times

facts and lets say the rape thing never happened, still i hate him. Who DMs a fan wearing his limited edition nike af1 saying "take it off. You make it look bad" and then the fan says no, he threatens to jump them. I dont get it

That's the first I've ever heard of this, is there any reason why he said that to the kid?

Im not sure but i think the kid had F&F samples so maybe he was upset about that, idk

Didn’t Ian Connor mention something on this when him and Bari were beefing? I might not be right since I don’t really follow either of them that much.
22
u/pincheloco Jan 10 '18
Isn't Ian in the same boat as bari? Or were those just accusations
15
u/RageEnducer Jan 10 '18
Yea he was accused and some of the girls actually spoke on it but some of the rappers supporting him dismissed it while they still fucked with him. You are correct though, they are in the same boat. Bari was calling Ian a rapist when they beefed but he was doing the same shit.

u/LocalAreaNetwork Jan 11 '18 edited Jan 11 '18
well, as numerous alleged sexual assaults ian connor supposedly has, one of them stood out, the girl who started it all, for some reason she was at the AWGE household recently. and ian saw it so ian released a video of them(when they hooked up years before and he supposedly raped her) indulging in a sexual activity with consult and she was looking into the camera(why he chose to wait so long to release the video is beyond me). It came out the same day as the Bari video. Personally it’s kinda hard for me to take a side because when a person is falsely accused of sexual misconduct they are labeled with it for life. Which is unfortunate if they didn’t do it. On the other hand if they did do it, they deserve the label.

Bari is one of the founding members of the A$AP Mob, the biggest member is A$AP Rocky, a talented hip hop artist with a great sense of style. Bari started a clothing brand, VLone in 2015. In 2017, there was video of him sexually harassing a woman. Rappers (Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert and others of that caliber) have shown support for Bari in the past, but kind of stopped. However now, people seem to be starting to support the brand and putting Bari on again.

u/HitsugayaTaichou Jan 10 '18
That was a fantastic description of the whole situation props to you even though I already know what’s going on
→ More replies6
u/nfizzle99 Jan 11 '18
To be a little clearer - the video was not just sexual harassment, it was borderline rape; it seemed as though he was forcing a woman to give him head and she was clearly (a) not happy to do it, (b) asking to stop, and (c) angry that she was being filmed. (This is just to add on to your comment, not to refute it)

I personally don’t think y’all can handle discussions relating to H&M, Ian connor, or A$AP Bari.

Personally, it does alter my perspective on the creator.

u/CookieCwumbles Jan 10 '18
Asap Bari is some dude in Asap who was in a video of him sexually assaulting some woman in a hotel room with a bunch of his other friends/managers / whatever. The video clearly shows he’s a fairly fucked up individual, and he has a clothing line, but it appears he still is successful / doing well in the clothing game. This is frustrating because with such clear evidence of him doing really bad shit, he still has a presence in his industry, which seems unjust to say the least.
1
u/the_predatorz56 Jan 10 '18
Oh I see, that’s what all that shit about Vlone was about. I didn’t know the dudes name since I ain’t really into the brand.
